This is my post for #freewriters Thursday prompt rucksack hosted by @mariannewest

I was supposed to run the pigfish traps today but since I did not have time to set my boat up for hauling bait yesterday, I spent most of the day today getting it ready. By the time I finished the wind was blowing too hard, or I should say the wind was blowing harder than I like it to blow for running traps. I will get up in the morning and run them. Saturday is opening day for our trout season, it is also an opening day for the sport fishermen to catch grouper, so the boat ramps will be a total mad-house.

Yesterday I left both doors open on my truck with a fan blowing in each door so it could dry overnight. Would you believe it poured rain last night? I let the fans run all day today and was not going to chance to leave them overnight again. The carpet is still a little damp but it is what it is. I hope it is dry enough to keep mold from growing on it.

I did not know what a rucksack is so I turned to my old friend Mr. Google. He tells me that a rucksack is basically a backpack. I copied this from the google search The original military backpack was called a “rucksack”, and appeared around the time of the American Civil War to aid infantrymen in the transportation of bulky weaponry and medical supplies. You are never too old to learn something new.

I can't believe it went and rained while you were trying to dry out your truck! Jeepers! Good luck with running your traps tomorrow. Hope it goes well.
