Five minute freewrite by @myjob
this is my post for #freewriters Wednesday prompt sloppy hosted by @mariannewest
Wooo-hooo, we got our stimulus check. What a relief. I am not sure why the government is giving out so much money but it sure comes at a needed time. This should get us by until trout season opens May first, then if we can catch bait, we should be alright. I feel like a big weight has been lifted off of me.
I have been pulling weeds and trimming plants, instead of hauling them to the dump I have been burning them. I have a metal barrel that I burn in.
After I have burned for a few weeks and the barrel is almost half full of cooled-off ashes, I lay it on its side and shovel all the ashes from it.
It is a sloppy job but it is very good for my plants. I shovel it all around my banana trees and my pineapple plants.
The bananas love it, all plants love the ashes. Potash is made from burning hardwoods but I just burn everything, it might not be as high in potassium but it is better than nothing.
What do you think? Would this help for my walnut trees too?
Congrats with your cheque
yes, all plants benefit from potash even in the garden.
I'll try it this year. I have enough wood to burn. Thanks.
