Day 949: 5 Minute Freewrite: Wednesday - Prompt: beeper

This is my post for #freewrite Wednesday prompt beeper hosted by @mariannewest

We have come a long long way since the day of the beeper. I remember everyone except us, walking around with that little box attached to their belt. We might have even come close to bypassing The Jetsons. We have computers and phones that we can not only talk but see the person we are talking to. All we need now is to have flying cars.

Has anyone else wondered if whoever wrote the script for The Jetsons had an insight into the future? What about the song where they say in the year 2525. It starts out with these lyrics, In the year 2525 if man is still alive, if woman can survive. Did they know something that no one else could foresee? It is eerie, with what is going on in the world today. A lot of things in this song have already come true.

I bet if back in the 60's when the Jetsons and this song came out if you tried to tell people these things will one day be true they would have laughed in your face.

What really scares me is have you seen the cartoons or heard the music they are listening to today, what if there is truth in it, also.

I put 25 pigfish traps over today and left them over an hour, I never caught a fish of any kind in them. A thunderstorm was building so I moved them and I am leaving them overnight. I got home just as the storm hit. For once I did not get caught in it.
