This is my post for #freewriters Thursday prompt state of emergency hosted by @mariannewest

I was driving to the boat ramp and listening to the news on my truck radio. They were saying how 60 percent of the seagrass has come back in the Indian River Lagoon after pollution killed it off. This is a lie in both statements. The seagrass that we had is not coming back and pollution is not what killed it. The next news bit was about manatees, aka, sea cows. They went on to say that in the last 6 months over 600 sea cows have died from starvation. Let that sink in, seagrass is what sea cows eat, if 60% of the seagrass has come back, why the hell are the sea cows dying? It is because what they are calling seagrass is not seagrass it is an invasive alga, it grows low to the bottom like a blanket smothering out the little bit of true seagrass that is trying to come back. There should be a state of emergency declared against the state of Florida for what they have done to this river.

The way the news spreads these lies, makes me wonder if there is any truth in anything they talk about. What else are they lying to us about?????

On a good note, our daughter assures us that she "might" be feeling a little better but she said she can not get her fever under control, she is taking Tylenol, and as soon as it wears off her fever spikes back up. She told us she did some research on covid pneumonia, it is not like run-of-the-mill pneumonia. It actually gets in your cells and I am guessing that is why the hospital said they can not give her anything for it. I am afraid she is just trying to make us not worry as much because she can only say a few words, then she goes into a coughing fit. We are still very worried for her and the baby, so please continue to pray for her.

Today I tried something different to see if there would be any change in my eyesight, I did not wear my sunglasses all day and my vision stayed good. I am wondering if this is the answer or is it a fluke, maybe my eyesight would have been good today if I had worn them. I will try it again tomorrow and see what happens. It was so nice being able to see all day and driving home not being stressed.

Still praying for your daughter ... and YES, a lot of what is being said in Florida is a lie ... even in California, we are hearing about the algae and the dying manatees.

My daughter said she felt good enough to walk to the mailbox today, then found out that it was too much too soon. It is great news that she thought she was well enough to try it. She admitted that she was worried about how much can her organs take, and if at any moment would she be put on a ventilator. She is a private home-care nurse and said she has never seen anyone that sick.

Your daughter should contact american frontline doctors and get some medication. They will treat her over the phone. I know someone who used them. It was easy and not very expensive https://americasfrontlinedoctors.org/about-us/contact-us/

Until then, she can take quercetin and zinc. Both are fairly easy to get, and inexpensive.

For free! Pine needle tea would help with the cough, as well as provide lots of vitamin C, along with some zinc and vitamin A. It would help a lot. I'm a big fan of this stuff, for anything that ails me. Use the wisdom and love of the trees!

I have never heard of pine needle tea, is it made from any kind of pine needles? Our daughter's fever finally broke today. This is a huge relief. I have a friend that has been taking one zinc wafer a day, he swears you will not get a cold if you take one a day. I think the common cold is a variety of coronavirus. She is a nurse and I am sure she has good insurance. I have always heard that if someone was sick you can cut an onion in half and place it on the nightstand, it is supposed to absorb all of the bad stuff in the air. Bad stuff is like the virus particles. I do not know the technical terms.

I've heard that about onions too, and once heard someone explain it. I think that person put raw onions in his socks to sleep.

Any pine needle will do, but white pine seems to be the one people think most potent. I use this woman's method, except I snip the needles off the twigs with scissors instead of lining them up to cut off the tiny bit of woodiness at the ends. It's really delicious.

When I get sick, I drink this tea, and take a little zinc and vitamin D3 with K2. Nothing has developed farther than the first stage of a cold, so far.
