#freewrite :: Prompt for Day 1067: purple

"I love you, you love me, we're a happy family!" Little Tim danced along as the purple dinasour started singing the song.

It has been some time since Little Tim started smiling again and Barney played a huge role. His aunt smiled as she watched him made sounds, as he tried to sing along.

Two years ago, his parents died in a car crash, one that was not a fault of theirs, but of a drunk driver. Little Tim, only four at that time, survived. But he stopped talking. Not a day went by that he did not cry, crying for his parents. They were close.

When Little Tim was entrusted to his aunt and her husband, they tried many ways to make him smile again, to help him talk. All was to no avail until one day, his cousin switched to the channel where Barney was showing. Little Tim, for the first time since the accident, smiled and he was almost back to himself.
