The #ZapFicMonday is a literary initiative from the Freewriters Community in which writers have to create a story, using the prompt provided, with 240 characters or less.

Aliens in the Garden

"Dad!! There are aliens in the garden!"
"Sure, buddy, now go back to sleep, OK?"
"But daaaaaad! I saw them!"
"That's enough for today, now off you go!"
After being ignored by his dad, what else Little Carl could do to fend off the Zorblaxians?

Ah! The name of the aliens was an homage to the Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal (SMBC). They're a daily webcomic that's going strong for decades, and one of their recurring jokes is about aliens called Zorblaxians from the planet Zorblax. They have literally hundreds of comics with them Zorblaxians :P
