Prompt First Sentence: "Crazy ideas," she murmured under her breath. But she kept on nodding and smiling.

She guessed the mask helped; these days you couldn't get out of the house without one.

Glancing around the mostly empty conference room, Irene couldn't help but wish for better days.

They had to think of better ways to survive, but was it enough?

Prompt 2
His socks were wet and rubbing, but he couldn't stop.

He needed to get to that grocery store! It was the last of its kind that was still mostly restocking its supplies.

Pete huffed and puffed his way down the street; it was harder to breathe these days with masks on, but he didn't dare take it off for fear of something more harmful that he'd breathe in.

Seeing the sickly bright neon sign of the store, he couldn't help but find the irony of how it stood against its bleak surroundings.

With that final morbid thought in mind, he stepped inside the crowded store and fought his way down the aisles.

Prompt 3
a headache

Must be that stint in the rain he had a few nights ago... He wasn't feeling too good now... Pete kept rubbing at his temples, the mask didn't seem to help at the moment either; everything just felt too hot, too stifling.

Tapping on his shoulder, "Boss, a call from your wife." Irene, she may have news from the Senate hearing.

"Pete! You have to get out of that city right now! There's been a spike in the confirmed number of cases!-"

He tried to keep up with what Irene was saying, but he was feeling tired all of a sudden; his brain processes slowing down. Must. Rest. Just for a little while...

And all turned black.

I have been wearing a mask for many years
Because the nose is bad
Runny nose in places with poor air
before
Every time I go out
Everyone would told me to remove the mask
Say I has not sick
Impolite to wear a mask
No one blame me now
Because healthy people also wear masks
Everyone wears a mask
