Prompt First Sentence: Her eyes were closing, her chin fell towards her chest when the blaring of a horn jolted her

Now wide awake, Kathleen gripped the steering wheel tighter. It was unusually cold in her car, maybe the heater wasn't working again.

Kathleen sighed just thinking about her ever-mounting expenses, but first she had to get home fast.

Prompt 2
A pillowcase covered his head and she thought that it would do the job.

"Mom... that's not Mark right?" Nathan quivered as he looked down at the thing that almost looked like his friend.

"Well I sure hope not!" Kathleen huffed as she looked her son over, checking him for injuries. Aside from the bruises on his knuckles, Nathan overall looked fine.

"Good thing I got back right on time..." She trailed off as her gaze slowly drifted back to the thing laying dead on their floor.

She had to do a double take as she watched its skin slowly tighten and shrivel in on itself. It almost looked like plastic.

Prompt 3
they stopped making plastic bags

Or any other plastic materials after that incident; it seemed like the residents of their small town also had a few run-ins with the same devils themselves, and the very thing that made them up was well, plastic.

The very thing that's hard to get rid of and is slowly killing our Earth.

So remember folks, if you ever decide to use those little devils, make sure you get the biodegradable ones so they break into tiny pieces over time.

Author's note: Currently, I've been trying to expand my previous weekend freewrites by adding a sequel or two. It's all experimental at this stage. I'm trying to see what I could eventually come up with.

The character of Nathan was previously introduced in We-Write by @Zeldacroft. I wrote my sequel in Wanna Play? (We-Write #11).

I hope that's not what it's going to take to get people to stop using so many of those bags!
