Binge Watching / Freewrite's Prompt by @MarianneEWest

Come to think about it, prompted by the prompt, I had never really indulged in binge watching except maybe 2 times in my entire life. Once during our first year od marriage. Binge watching 'Heroes'. Another time during 2019, yes, last year, when I found a nice Singapore movie because my favourite actress was inside. Let me tell you, everytime (precisely these two times) I binged watching, I felt terrible the next day. Insufficient sleep zapped me out of my energy. And the whole day felt exhausted no matter how many cups of coffee I tried to drink to help staying awake.

Always regretted it

As I am always an early riser and I also love to sleep early, the latest also 1am. Binge watching till 6am and wake up at 7:30am? Nap one and half hour, no wonder I became like 'half-dead', not motivated at all to cook or clean house. Duh. Of course, totally like not sleeping at all. And I always vow to myself not to binge-watching again. Ever. Believe it or not, we do not watch TV as well since the children came into the world. If the TV is on, it would be their show to keep them occupy while we mend our stuff at home. We read news on our mobile phone and TV for the kids haha!

Do I look forward again?

Maybe when the kids are older, then yes.. I love binge watching with my husband. Haha. Because I love to ask him all sorts of questions to answer by myself after that. That's what he said. I am looking forward to a slower calmer lifestyle, take my time to clean and tidy up the house, and slowly sip my hot coffee, not cold coffee, and sitting in front of TV to watch news and other documentary shows. And maybe binge watching if my body still allows me to do so. Or maybe that time, me and husband will be Netflix-ing whole day, eating popcorn.

Oh, by the way, I love watching Hong Kong drama, local Malaysian and Singaporean Kantonis drama, but not Korean drama or any other drama in life.
