@katleya presents @tezmel and @owasco

English through DeepL
(a) the return of the lost scribe (https://peakd.com/hive-161155/@tezmel/the-return-of-the-lost-scribe) because:
it leaves everything it tells sublimely to the reader's imagination. This writing can be interpreted in several ways. I interpreted it as the author is sick in his bed and decides to write to mitigate his pain waiting for a new dawn..... which appears, after praying to heaven and embracing love, his self-love, as a leafy tree that stands out from all the other trees growing around him.

b) Emerald green, a freewrite (https://peakd.com/hive-161155/@owasco/emerald-green-a-freewrite) because:
the author gives the impression of a practical view of life. She includes a photo of the cat that transmits .... and gets you to play with your imagination.You get involved in the author's project (upholstering the furniture) and imagine how the color she proposes suits her. Afterwards, you are left wondering what color you would use other than green.....

@johneyreacko

This is the freewrite that I nominate, provided by @myjob

https://peakd.com/hive-161155/@myjob/changing-the-past

The prompt for this was: emerald eyes.

It's amazing how certain imagery can evoke different things in different people. In this post we are treated to snapshots of the author's past, inspiring feelings of sweet melancholy. She shares intimate memories of her motherhood, her brother and father, and ponders the ways life may have been different if certain events had transpired differently.

This practice of reorganizing the past to produce new futures is one I engage it all too often. If I had the awareness and the words to speak to my father - would things have turned out differently? If I had the wherewithal to help my mother and my siblings - would we have turned out differently?

I love pieces that make me think. I love that a simple word prompt was able to evoke all of these thoughts and feelings.

A wonderful #freewrite

@scribblingramma

This week I can't confine myself to one recommendation. I'm not sure I they all go into one post, and if they each need to be 50 words minimum, but I'll have a go at it.
First, I recommend "Silly Dog" by @myjob. https://hive.blog/hive-161155/@myjob/silly-dog This is a weekend freewrite in which she incorporates six prompts from the past week. I am truly impressed by the way she tells a true story and works in all of those prompts. The details of her dog's antics are hilarious, making me wish I could meet this crazy pup some day. (As well as the writer!)

My second recommendation is for https://hive.blog/hive-161155/@isgledysduarte/5-minute-freewrite-tuesday-prompt-emerald-eyes. This poem is full of love and respect, as well as sadness and a touch of melancholy. Many of us remember fondly our loved ones who have passed away, thinking of the little things they said and did that made them the unique person we loved. @isgledysduarte brings the joy and the pain to life in this poem.

The third recommendation is for https://hive.blog/hive-161155/@deeanndmathews/day-1200-5-minute-freewrite-tuesday-prompt-emerald-eyes by @deeanndmathews. This is part of an ongoing story, parts of which I have missed and need to go back and read. I like the way she brings the characters to life, and has their ancestors all figured out, and their personal pasts. After reading several stories in this series, you will feel as if you have met the characters somewhere, including the ones with the emerald eyes.

@faith65

Hello @freewritehouse. It's a pleasure to be part of this activity again.
For this week, I have two favorite freewrites to recommend to all freewriters and all who like to read. I chose both freewrites from Thursday's writing with prompt word "move over".

The first is from @owasco! I love her freewrite a lot because it reveals a lot about the beauty of keeping pets, as well as having the opportunity to learn the behavior of such delightful creatures. It is a freewrite that also reveals to me, how welcoming she may be as a person as it also talks about the pattern in which her pets sleeps and how she feels having them around. I guess more reasons to why I love her writing is the fact that I can relate to the bond I had with my pet who got shot some years back.

The second favorite freewrite for this week is one from @hlezama. I love the freewrite because it is based on true events which means that it is more original. It's a freewrite about a young man named Damian who was offered a job at a school where he once studied. In the course of accepting the temporary job, he was forced to adapt to teaching in a classroom of students accompanied with cats. Of course, that didn't sit well with him as he turned aggressions to a particular cat which in turn leaves his students laughing. This freewrite is full of humours as it explores the behavior of cats and the human relationship with them. Although he indicated that his five minutes was up for the freewrite, he continued the story which had a very nice ending as well.

@owasco

We have had a few newcomers lately here @freewriters, but I think @kei2 might just be the newest. In this highly descriptive freewrite, she (she?) depicts a New Years Eve like no other, one in which the world actually does begin anew, at least for one entranced and entrancing woman.

A warm welcome to @kei2! It looks to me like she made her very first post on the chain in @freewriters less than three weeks ago. Go show her some @freewriters love!

@hlezama

Greetings, everyone.
I don't always have time to interact in this space and I apologize for that. There is a lot to be said about so many good free writes every day. But maybe there lies the contradictory problem when we have time constraints.
Anyways, I'll try to make. It a habit and maybe I won't find it so hard.
I'm going to recommend two freewrites I enjoyed this week:
First, @scribblingramma's "old standard" freewrite
(https://peakd.com/hive-161155/@scribblingramma/the-gremlin-5-minute-freewrite-day-1201-prompt-replace-that-old-standard), which made me remember my own driving ordeals. I can't tell you how many times I was ridiculed for not being able to drive stick, or synchronic cars, as we call them here.
Second, @owasco 's "move over" description of her nocturnal negotiations with her loving pets (https://peakd.com/hive-161155/@owasco/move-over-a-freewrite.
This is something I can relate to and it is narrated in a way that is both funny and thought provoking. I am surrounded by people who disapprove of this kind of relationship with pets and sometimes I wonder if we do well to them by doing it, but, what the hell, life is short and full of worse shit to fret about.

@ myjob

This is my favorite freewrite by wandrnose7
https://peakd.com/hive-161155/@wandrnrose7/how-to-stay-cool-under-pressure
This freewrite talks about people who are rude and how to handle them. It does not matter where you are you can always pick out the one who is a trouble maker or just plain nasty. But the one thing that will turn them around is kindness. Let them say what they want then show them sympathy even change the subject to something nice before getting back to the issue. They will be nicer when you get back to business. She did not use these words exact words but this is what I felt from her story. I also admire that she got her degree after raising three kids.

Congratulations @johneyreacko, you're my winner for this week. You provided us with a good overview of @myjob's freewrite, and, I think, chose one of the better freewrites of the week. Your recommendation introduced me to her work, which I now look forward to reading more of. Good job.

Thanks man I really appreciate that. I read as many freewrites as I can on a normal basis, but this competition gets me really thinking about them and how they make me feel. Really glad to be a part. To celebrate I'm throwing in some Hive for this week's competition

Thank you @mariannewest for the generous hbi! (I don't see that they have shown up in katleya's wallet, which shows a 0 hbi totals). And you have forgotten that I am still sponsoring a prize for this contest too! Such a hard task! Please put me on the post for next week for another 3hbi as well.

My 3 hbi will be going to @faith65 this week.

Thank you for your participation everyone! What a wonderful turn out we had!

It takes a little bit for the HBI to show up.
And I wasn't sure if you were an ongoing sponsor. I will add your sponsorship permanently until you tell me otherwise.
Thank you so much!

yes so sorry for the confusion. Ongoing sponsorship of 3 hbi weekly, until I can't do it anymore. I'll let you know when that day comes. It's really from @carolkean long ago. She transfered a lot to me for freewritehouse prizes way back when and it's time to use it! This contest is going really well! seven entries!!! newbies! very exciting.
