An impressive Weekendwrite story written by @wakeupkitty caught my attention this week. In "breathtaking", you don't really know what is going on, but you assume that the old lady has finished the long wait, and has taken revenge on the man for whom she lost her youth. The point is that she apparently kills him and then leaves the room to prepare and drink her two cups of tea and cookies, as if her action had no repercussions, like a cold killer. That lady appears to have senile dementia or is a psychopath. I like the air of mystery that moves through the story.

It's two oatmeal post recommendations from me this week. The first by cliffagreen explores the topical issue of UBI in a clever and entertaining way and sent me off researching Andrew Yang.
My second recommendation is Wandernrose and her lost keys in the oatmeal box, a little reminiscence from her youth, beautifully written as always...but we expect no less!

Today I would like to share a Freewrite from @wondrnrose7 on the prompt cannibals. Her Freewrite reminded me of the many times in my life that I tried saving money by doing it myself. I usually messed up whatever I was doing and it ended up being a big mistake or costed me more money to fix it. Go read this Freewrite and I'm pretty sure you could relate. 👍👍

Last Tuesday I recommended two freewrites at that moment this one wasn't written yet. It seems to be the week of food. 🤔

I recommend @myjob.

She gave me a good laugh and that is precious these days. "Cannibalism" is the prompt she used. If you like to know how to cook Uncle Joe - no waste- you can read all about it here

Even though she went over the 5 minutes, @myjob's story about the various escapades they've had in cars from the prompt turn signal had me smiling the whole way through. I really enjoyed the bit about finding a white phosphorus flare. That's quite the scary chemical to just stumble across and throw in the back of your car/truck. My family also owned a car like she described where if you put things on the floor they ended up disappearing. The passenger seat had a small hole from rust damage under it and that's where our things were disappearing.

Also, Hello freewrite crew! I'm here to participate in all the wonderful and clever contests as well as sharpening my writing skills.

@worldbuilder thank you for the kind words and enjoying my freewrite. we found the flare under some trees on the river shoreline and figured if it was going to blow up it would have done it with the waves. I have no idea where it came from but there is a military base 50 miles north of us. Our car also had a hole in the floorboard. Welcome to #freewrite.
