Diffuse Memory

The blue feather of the hat
that you used that afternoon when you said I love you.
Some old sunglasses,
those who lack a crystal, that you threw at me.
The purple lipstick
with which you kissed the notes that you left me.
The pink handcuffs
with which you restricted my freedom and set me free.
They are the little that I still remember about you.

I throw away a box of stolen kisses,
of repressed orgasms,
of elusive glances,
of nails that I remove from my back,
and I don't remember if they are yours or not.
And I pick up,
from among a pile of knives dressed in caresses,
a heart that still beats,
but no longer for you.

This is a text that arises from the title of a text that I read a long time ago, and suddenly it came to my mind: "Residual memory", which made me think about the process of forgetting someone, and how little by little their memory is being erased by time.

I thought the text was half done when I wrote it, and I left it to finish at another time. But now reading it with the intention of seeing if I could finish it, I see that although I can lengthen it, it does not really need it, since its central idea is quite clear. I've just corrected a couple of words, checked the punctuation, and it's done.
