A Short Poem of Romance and Tragedy

in Freewriters โ€ข 3 months ago

Hi! So its time for a little poetic vibe again from me, your little friend, Anarkia! ๐Ÿ˜… I saw this post from Freewriters Community called A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words Contest # 1 and thought that I should give it a shot. ๐Ÿ˜
Hope you all like it! :)

Tell me what you see from that picture
- I see cobwebs and molds. I see an old dusty curtain that is still beautifully hanging beside, still giving the window its beauty. I see a blurry image of the outside scenery. To think it's so dead inside that window, but so alive outside of it. I see unused bottles, an upside down little pot and some empty stuff that has long been sitting in that molty table. I see a little table full of molds and colors of green from the passing of time. And lastly I see a little contraption in the center of which I do not know what was it for, but was somehow useful for the owner at that time.

Now what did you feel when you looked at it?
  • I feel nostalgia. I feel that a simple life was formed before but now has been long abandoned. I feel that the things that are on that little table were so important to the owner that when he lost all hope, he gave up and just placed it there to rot and get oldโ€”just like the first time he placed it when he first brought it home. I feel strangely at peace. Though everything was inside that window is messed up and old, the outside was just as majestic as when the world was first been born. The stillness and the peacefulness of looking at that scenery where the weather illuminates its cool breeze and subtle rain was an excuse to still live in that old house; inside that window.

To My Love

You were everything to me
You were the sun, the moon and the stars
You were my heaven's blessing
You were mine.

But how did we ended up like this?
Why did we fall out of love?
Where did we go wrong?
Were our hearts never enough?

Our house was always been lit with hope
Where sunlight would peak through the smallest of holes
Our tiny backyard, full of everlasting green
Our little window making us see all of those things

But how would I care to see all those beauty?
When in reality you are not here with me?
How should I expect the heavens to bless me?
When in fact you're the only one I'd pray for to see?

Now I sit here all alone in this house we built
On that same spot where our tiny window silt is
The place where I looked into your eyes and retold my vows
The place where love was beyond what our bodies can devour

And as I fall into eternity alone
Still sitting here looking at our window
I dreamt of your beautiful face, smiling
As I fade away in this house we built, dying.

This is a very interesting poem and the phase you tried to explain is something that is unbearably to many Lovers especially if they were with someone that they love so much.

Heartbreak happens but the worst is a demise of our lover.

I want to believe that you must have already moved on with your life. You will be reunited with another person

Kinda weird for me because, I wrote this without any experience on relationships. Never had before. But I knew thousands of stories between couples and their struggles from my friends. And somehow, that inspired me to write fictional love stories or scenarios in my poems or blogs or even when I write my own songs. It's just lovely and heartbreaking at the same time. Hope it would give some lessons and feelings to other people reading or listening it. ๐Ÿ˜Œ

It is. It really is. I think the guy in my poem metaphorically is just wanting to let his lover go along with the memories they created both in that house. I think death there was forgiveness or just letting go or something.

Oh yes I already have :) I have already accepted the heartbreak I had with my first love. ๐Ÿ˜… And yeah, I hope I would be having my own sun, moon and stars in the future :)

Thanks for that, man.

Hahahahahah... Now, what you did there is a very rare skill that can't be displayed by just anyone because you managed to change the whole theme from a melodramatic sad story to a gag concert and I'm sure that you can already guess that I'm laughing out loud while reading every line of your reply ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ.

Wow... So, you captured other people's expressions and used it as a preamble to write in a very convincing way that even made me to believe that you are telling us your life story. I would like you to know that I enjoyed reading every part of it and I also enjoyed your comment write up ๐Ÿ˜‹

You are really doing well and I hope to see more of your work on the long run.
Well Done Dear.

My regards to your imaginary sun, moon, star and everyother person

Hahaha yeah. I think whatever you write, whether its a song or poem, sometimes, the story itself is separate from the life of the author. That, if the author wrote about romance, does not mean they experienced it personally for themselves. Thanks for the appreciation man! Glad I made you laugh ๐Ÿ˜Š

It has been my pleasure. I am excited to share more stuff with you people here in this platform. :)

Aww, that's sweet. Thanks man.

Beautiful poem, did someone hurt your feelings?

Thanks! Yeah, I "was" but that was a long time ago and I have already moved on now ๐Ÿ˜Š That poem was based on my imagination on how two lovers would feel if they're separated.

Oh! i loved it anyways,

Thanks, man! ๐Ÿ˜Š

Great poem, wow!

Thank you so much! ๐Ÿ˜Š

Oh so sad
But at least there are good memories to hold on to...

Yeah. The body may fade but the feelings remain ๐Ÿ˜Œ
