I think that Ace is one of the characters who is missed very much after his passing. I’ve never cry so hard while watching anime.
Anyways, I think I like how this turned out the most compared to Luffy and Sabo.
I think I’m getting the hang of drawing in grayscale as well as drawing in semi-realism.
エース描けました。あのシーンを思い出すと今でも涙が出そうになります。アニメ観てあれほど泣いたことはないと思います。
さてさて、少し前にルフィー と サボも描きましたが、エースが一番お気に入りです。
グリザイユで描くのとセミリアルで描くことに慣れてきたかもしれないです。

Coulorising is fun. I like it a lot.
Environmental colours and base colours added on Colour layers and Overlay and Multiply for details.
色をのせる作業は楽しいので好きです。
環境光、ベースカラーはいつものようにカラーレイヤーで、細かいところや色の調節はオーバーレイ、乗算レイヤーを使いました。

Ace ;w; I really felt so betrayed with how he died. They make you think it's all over... Ace looks very pretty in this one too! And very intense...
Can I just ask about your coloring process? I tried greyscale before but it never really worked out for me... I'd love to know your thought process on the first layer of colors! The one with visible blues and greens and purples ^^
The layer with blues and greens are environmental colour. I must say I'm still learning and I'm not 100% sure what I am doing. I’m just applying these colours according to how I feel😅
I used orangy brown for the reflection from the earth, blue from the sky, purple supposed to go well with shading and dark colour and teal at the edges where light is hitting. You can hardly see these colour on the completed art work but I like how blue and teal show though so I tend to leave them uncoloured at the next layer on purpose.
Ohh! That's really interesting ^^ I also usually put teals too for my lighting and it's also hardly visible in the final piece :> It's all experimental and I guess it's what makes it more fun!

These still somewhat anime proportions with the realistic colouring is way too much for my meagre brain to handle XD Such a beautiful result though O_O
