SuperRare - Recycling (WHa digital Collab)

WHa digital reached out to me to create a piece for SuperRare, based on the explorer Humboldt. Literally from that day on, I became an explorer of my own surroundings.

I started bringing home pieces of cardboard I found and began experimenting with it all. I discovered a fascinating world of cardboard sculptures and textures (and as you all know, I've been painting on cardboard for years!).

The days turned into a complete and fun creative process: searching for shells on the beach, taking photos of anything I found interesting... cans, seashells... everything was a potential piece of art!

WHa digital me contactó para crear una pieza para SuperRare, inspirada en el explorador Humboldt. Literalmente, desde ese día, yo mismo me convertí en un explorador de mi propio entorno.

Comencé a traer a casa trozos de cartón que encontraba y a experimentar con ellos. Así fue como descubrí un mundo fascinante de esculturas y texturas en cartón (¡sin olvidar que llevo años pintando sobre este material!).

Los días se transformaron en un proceso creativo intenso y divertido: buscar conchas en la playa, fotografiar cualquier objeto interesante que encontraba... ¡latas, caracolas... todo era una potencial obra de arte!

¡Estas son algunos de los objetos que modifiqué y que encontré en el camino! Al final, le envié esta pieza final a WHa digital. Tiene un poco de todo, jaja. Para mí, fue un viaje increíble de experimentación y descubrimiento.

Here are some of the objects I modified and found along the way! In the end, I sent this final piece to WHa digital. It has a little bit of everything, haha. For me, it was an incredible journey of experimentation and discovery!

Metal Repujado Casero

Después de esto, me puse a experimentar con latas. Intenté imitar las técnicas de los repujadores profesionales usando solo lo que tenía por casa: un bolígrafo, un destornillador, la punta de cualquier objeto de plástico... ¡y sobre una base de mouse pad logré crear este pequeño pez!

After that, I started experimenting with cans. I tried to mimic the techniques of professional metal embossers using only what I had around the house: a pen, a screwdriver, the tip of any plastic object... and using a mouse pad as a base, I managed to create this little fish!
