"Slipped and Fell Up" by Richard F. Yates (Holy Fool)
Babysitting a three-year-old is difficult. There are certainly some fun moments, but there is also the anxiety of making sure the kid doesn't succeed in all of the unfathomable ways the kid attempts to kill themself. When you add 8 cats to the mix, shit get's crazy... That's where we live: in the mouth of both insanity and death... So here's artz!

"Iron City" by Richard F. Yates (HF) & Felicity Echo Hanson (TT)

[Felt pen, crayon, and sticker collage on reclaimed cardboard with digital embellishments and color.] Felicity and I compiled this a few days ago. (Weeks ago, maybe???) After the physical piece was done, I digitalled the HELL out of this piece, with the obvious results. How you like me now??? ---Richard F. Yates (Holy Fool) & Felicity Echo Hanson (Toddler Hanson)

"DAY 50
The hound from Underton salivated on cue. His map was ripped and shellacked to HECK. The hound placed a dollar coin in the pop machine, and his grandfather came out - but he got too cold and decided to go back in!
We're supposed to be DUDE-BROS, otherwise, we can't investigate the paranormal together. "BLESSED ARE THE CHEESE MAKERS," my wife just said... I couldn't agree more.
The hound rented an apartment with a dirty, green pool out back. This was comforting. He paid rent three days early.
When the flying jukebox landed in the street, everyone thought it was the end of the world. (It was a very large jukebox.) But a brave teenager noticed that choosing tunes was FREE, and the dance party began. Even the hound's grandfather came out of the pop machine to shake his booty. The dude-bros, however, felt the music machine was demonic, so they smudged it with sage and vanilla ice cream, in the hopes of attracting angelic SHMEEP guardians. Dude-bros have a hard time, sometimes... Dude!
ELO was blasting out of the jukebox, ("Sweet Talkin' Woman" was the tune, if you were wondering,) while floating orbs of light strobed throughout the neighborhood. Party all the time! Party all the time! Was this a space disco invasion? The dude-bros had theories, but the hound just enjoyed the show...
That's all. (Sorry, but only a little...)

"51 DAYS
The world is still spnnnning. Know what I says? You know what I says?
I don't have a clue what to talk about tonight, I just know that I said I was going to write everyday. (This usually ends up being at night, though.)
[I have paused to eat a banana... You tell me if what comes after is more interesting...]
Having contemplated the meaning of a fresh, blank screen, I realize that infinity CAN BE TAPPED... The neurological tentacles are theorized to be capable of contemplation in as many as 11 dimensions. I'm completely cool with that, as 11 is a prime number. Of course, I would love for it to be 13 dimensions, so I'm going to work on expanding my psychological investigations until I encounter at least two more horizons than typically possible...
Yeah... Probably better if I don't eat in the middle of writing. Your opinion?
Perhaps I'll have something in mind when I hit the keyboard tomorrow... I should just be treating these as free-writing exercises. That's what they are, in fact, BUT if I don't TREAT them as such, maybe they become something else... Slammed against the brick wall of writing block... (I wonder if I should force myself to write for another thirty minutes? Probably...but not tonight!) Blah...

"DAY 52
So so so... Ack... I intended to post a whole bunch of art today, but instead, I got sucked into music. I put together a new playlist (of 373 songs), that will keep me entertained for the next few days... Thrills!
Doop. Doop. Doop.
THEN, my lovely and talented wife brought me a gift card that I used to buy some new BOOKS for my electro-reading device! (I read a lot.) We went to an IN-REAL-LIFE book store a few days ago, but I'm out of room for physical books, plus I do most of my reading at night. Yeah...
Nah nah nah....
Stop drop and roll. (That's come up in the recent past on Tweeterz. I was amused. It's a blast from the past. We were taught so many weird things when I was little... "Wash you hands after going to the bathroom... Wash you hands after changing baby, too... Cuz you don't want to get hepatitis... And we don't want hepatitis to get who? You!" Weird shit...)
Bah bah bah...
Who is the King of Candy Lane? (That's a nonsense line that just popped into my head.) Is the Pope friends with the King of Candy Lane? How does the King address his mail? Is he from THIS planet or THAT one? We'll find out in the spring!
Yeah... I got nothin'.... Sorry. Still going, even if it ain't great. This lull in productivity is a knock against keeping the project going, but I'm gonna stick with it. There is always a chance that FORCING myself to keep going might produce something interesting. (I'll ask the King of Candy Lane what he thinks, next time I see him...)

"DAY 53
For reasons both mental and physiological (and entirely mysterious), I didn't do much sleeping last night. I was up until about 2:A.M. reading (and flipping and flopping), and then I slept until about 5:A.M. Maybe tonight will be better...
I've been reading a bunch (which is good), so I don't think insomnia is necessarily a terrible thing, but I do have a bit of a headache tonight. (Note to self, don't forget to buy some ibuprofen...cuz you're out...) Yeah, yeah, yeah...
Had the granddaughter most of the day today, so I didn't get much art finished. It's okay. I've done about three pieces per day for the last few weeks, so having a day with only ONE new piece minted (not counting this "forced writing project," which I don't expect anyone to actually purchase) isn't going to kill me... I hope... I'm pretty sure I've got the kid tomorrow, too, so we'll see how much I accomplish...
Thanks for stopping by!

"DAY 54
10:10 P.M. Sitting in bed (although I've already brushed my teeth and taken the usual handful of pills.) Got to, got to... Let's see...
Did you know that tomorrow is Friday? (This will only be true for another hour, meaning that for most of the rest of all time, this is going to be a lie. Funny! How strange is it that something can START as truthful but, after a little bit of time, it becomes false. Time is weird.)
Mariah is giving up for the night. She's got to work in the morning. Technically, I do too, but my work is just hanging out with a three-year-old and coloring. (No, there's no dental with that.) I'll probably read for a little bit when I'm done here. I'm just about finished with a book on Theosophy (a strange, semi-magical movement from the late-19th / early 20th century. I think I mentioned a few days ago that I intended to read a book on this topic. Not sure what I'll read next. Maybe something by Robert Anton Wilson??? He's fun.)
Yep. All of these things that you didn't know and didn't care about and probably wish you'd ignored: that's what you get when you read ME. Ha! Because that's what happens when people publish their personal junk, (I mean "thoughts." Other folks could accidentally read it - sometimes... (Sorry!)
Still making arts! Still doing this daily "forced writing project" thing, too, I guess. How long until I give it up?? (Have I already beaten your initial bet? OR is this the first one of these that you've read? If it IS the first one, I'm going to be very surprised if it isn't also the LAST one! Ha!!! But I'm still having some fun just typing away. (Did you know that a different part of the brain is activated when someone TYPES versus when they WRITE something with a pen on paper? Seems weird, doesn't it!? Brain stuff is always weird, and that's why I find it interesting!!!) Is that enough rambling for this post? Probably... Probably enough!
Later!

Thanks for sharing your work.
That Jukebox story was fun! ELO, haven't listened to their music for a while. Thanks for reminding me that I should get my record player fixed ( I have a handful of ELO records ).
Cheers!
For sure!
Awesome Artz
Thanks! We do what we can!!!
I like the story about the jukebox! And the Scrape Face!
It's always amusing and amazing to read what comes out of your brain, you're one of the best writers I know, it never gets boring :) Did you ever think of writing a book? Or have you already? If so, I wanna read it!
I have 13 books, either as author or editor! I've done poetry collections, a novella, edited books written by my uncle (his freaky, folk stories), and compiled several collections of short pieces from blog posts!
