"Festival of Badness" by Richard F. Yates (Holy Fool)

It's like that, and that's the way it is.... Had very little time today for FREE PLAY, but I slopped together three thingies---which are all bad. Ha! But in a FUN way, I hope. Buckle up and maybe put on some sun glasses:

I'm reasonably happy with this one. The stickers on the BACK of the paper caused a slight raised effect, so my colored pencil scribblings left some cool GHOST MARKS, so that was neat...

I had lots of help from the granddaughter on this one. It's sort of minimal but messy at the same time. I like it, anyway!

[The wind is blowing outside our windows tonight, and either tiny fingernails are occasionally tapping at the glass or the sky is sporadically spitting hailstones at us... Either way---it's a dark and stormy night!]

Third piece:

If you look closely, I changed the face on the mermaid and the eyes on the snowman. The words are from the well known song by R.E.M. (obviously.) (I don't know why I wrote the band name in mirror letters... I just do that kind of thing from time to time.)

Simple, silly, but essential---for me. The world is now a slightly more entertaining place, in my estimation, because of all the stupid shit I do. (I'm not trying to badmouth myself or fish for praise here, I INTENTIONALLY make bad art as a statement! I LOVE bad art. I make myself laugh, and some of my friends get the joke, too!) ART IS WHO I AM... (I don't know WHAT my parents were thinking when they named me Richard!

Okay, I'm off to read a "non-fiction" book about psychic sasquatches and their connection to UFOs and aliens. (It's a heck of a book!)

Later!

When I'm not in a good mood, I sometimes look at your deviantart profile, to see the slowbot ^^ It's my favorite! Should I ever have a staircase, I would love to hang a print of this guy there :-)
