The Alien Art Hive community just reached 600 members, WOOT, so I will let you in on a secret!
When I started this community I figured it would be kind of niche but I've been amazed by all the beautiful art people have been posting here, the stories the gifs, videos and music!
Just a few. weeks ago I saw we were close to 500 and thought of making a celebration post but a few days later it was well past 500 so I felt like I missed my chance, lol! I saw it hit 600 today and even though we don't have a header image, hmmm, let's celebrate!
BIG SECRET
I am involved in a pretty fun new project that will be launching very soon, a project that I think the artists here will enjoy.
I don't want to say too much because we have a few last bows to tie up for the release but it will be very soon :)
It has to do with ART and NFTs and HIVE so keep your eyes peeled for the coming week!

The other thing that shows when so many people are in a community, it’s got great leadership to keep things interesting, consistent and attracting people into it! Keep it up, wonderful work.

Wow - after nearly four years, first on Steemit and now on Hive, I never took any interest in communities - today I saw yours for the first time - seeing all those image previews - yeah, you have got my full attention now! Great stuff.
I think the community functions are mostly working great, except for search and discovery, no good way to look for communities at the moment, I'm glad you found us!

looking forward to your new plans and it is amazing how your communit has grown.... but I still miss your art challange <3 <3 It was such a beautiful way to get creative (and out of my own box).
Yeah I pondered for a while on the contest, it seemed that interest was waning over time and I wasn't getting so many entries, not sure if the prizes weren't big enough or maybe there were just too many contest happening? I have been discussing an idea for a monthly contest that might be very interesting but this project has taken up some of my recent time so we will see!
Now I am really curious about the new project (and secretly hope there will be contest in the future) I really need the kick into the b**, I am distracting myself with gardening and bread baking and on the art section nothing is happening.
Ahhh - awesome milestone! Pretty curious about the new project, am planning on diving a bit into crypto art myself. Have done some a few months ago with some success, but the app isn't used much - maybe we can change that ;-) I'll write about it soon. Cheers :-)

I used to ignore alien art hive a while ago until I spent some time getting to know what the community stood for.
