Having fun with Magicavoxel software!

in hive-158694 •  17 days ago

A few days ago I downloaded a free software called MagicaVoxel and I have been having a blast playing around with it!

I downloaded it to be able to create objects/buildings etc. to import to cryptovoxels but I realized it can have some other fun applications for making images.

Here are some of the images I made while playing around with all the sliders and buttons, I may integrate these into some future artwork!

Somehow I spherized the pixels, I don't even know how I did that :0

I also made this blue cocoon thing and animated it with some glow, don't look too long you'll get a headache:

My last big creation was this computer:

I am adoring the glass and glow functions.

Theres quite a lot to learn though if you jump in you can make some fun stuff with minimal learning. If you want to download it you can here: https://ephtracy.github.io/

Woww, I've tried Magicavoxel but it felt so limiting :O I've nooo idea how you did these. :D Awesome, might give it another try.

It seems to get updated quite often so maybe there were less functions when you had it, anyhow for a free program I am definitely impressed!

Oooh, that would explain it :D That's really awesome. I've already started 3-4 projects xD but after those I should try it again :D

I've never heard of this program before, you got some really cool results with it, I'll definitely check it out. The animation looks awesome, it reminds me of Green Lantern hahaha.

This is amazing! Despite the fact that I do not have a place in CV, I definitely need to try this software! Spherical pixels look interesting)

Looks so cool - I wish I had never seen your twitter/post about this - I know exactly who will have a new toy the next days and will spend a lot of time with it instead of learning music stuff - haha
