Something Minted, Something Sold, Something Bought

Newest minted art from me

The original, an oil painting to plywood covered with canvas sits on top of my drawer. It of course lacks the dark green border that are in the digital version of the art.

I've always had trouble painting to a completely white surface. The ideas just do not come that easily. But if the canvas or surface that I'm planning to paint on, already has something in it, color, form, drawings, lines or something other than just a smooth, white void, I see stuff in it. So the image just slowly starts to come out of it when I paint.

This one, one of my oldest paintings that I've saved, formed just like that. At first I had to paint something to the canvas so that after a while I saw this in it.

Now the question could be that can you see what I see, but that really isn't important. I see what I see and you see what you see and they may or may not be the same thing.

Nevertheless this painting is something I look at every day, several times a day and it's character has almost become my friend. If I watch it long and close, I can almost see it moving. How about you? (No need to answer as it's not important.)

But having said that, I can almost see it moving, I think this piece needs a sequel. A moving gif image. Then you can see it moving too, if you already didn't.

I can't remember when I painted it. But the digital image is made 2005. I think the painting is few years older than that, perhaps from the year 2000. Or even couple years before that. But as my only proof of it's age is in it's first digital version, I'm saying I painted it 2005. It's accurate enough.

This is how my gallery looks like now. (Picture above.) Minus two items if yo look at it in the for sale tab as both of my bodyswappers are now sold. There were five editions and all are gone. I don't know what else to say than that again this feels awesome and THANK YOU!

Thank you @vincentnijman and thank you @bullauge who is now the proud owner of all the of the editions of Soccerfitness shadowbixing! The price on these was quite low so that almost anyone could afford to buy art from NFT Showroom and I'm not planning on raising that when I sell the other Bodyswappers. So if you want one, you better be quick about it. Perhaps stay awake 24/7 and refresh my gallery page every five minutes. Though it may be that these two are the only ones that sold out, that will never, ever happen again, but then again it might. So be prepared.

Of course I immediately payed the kindness of the buyers forward and spent almost all my money (swap.hive) to, what else than art. @despero-narciso has some wicked portraits, @julesquirin's mushrooms are very aliceinwonderlandish and @hairofmedusa's art is wonderfully dark.

I think this thing that I do: "If I sell something, I have to buy something" works nicely for me. In the future I hope I get to buy lots and lots of art from the talented artist in NFT Showroom.

Quickly is a good thing, but I also hope that the art that gets sold, will be in the hands of someone who really likes it too. :)
