Platónico en acción (Esp/Eng)

Javier era una persona muy generosa. Ansioso por hacer algo bueno, su filosofía de vida se concretaba en buscar causas nobles y apoyarlas. Decía a sus amigos El mundo y sobre todo la humanidad necesita que hagamos todo lo posible por cambiar y mejorar

Y así llegó a la Fundación Platónicos en acción. Se enteró a través de las redes y decidió participar.

Justamente había una reunión el día sábado y se inscribió inmediatamente.

Al llegar se encontró con un pequeño grupo de apenas 20 personas reunidas en un salón de la Biblioteca. Esperaron 5 minutos y llegaron 2 hombres y una mujer. Después de darles la bienvenida se sentaron y comenzaron una conversación amena sobre filósofos griegos y los animaron a leer algunos pensamientos de Sócrates, Platón y otros.

Al principio aquello le pareció bien. Pero él necesitaba acción y al tercer día se levantó y pregunto cuáles eran las actividades a realizar y que aportarían a la humanidad.

¡Compañero!, estamos acá para hacer realidad un cambio, pero para esto necesitamos dar un paso importante... tenemos que desprendernos de todo lo material y con esto quiero decir también de esto y toco su cuerpo con las manos, para dejar en libertad el alma. Pues el alma es lo único perfecto. Para que esto ocurra debemos morir y nos estamos preparando para hacerlo colectivamente la próxima reunión.

Javier se asustó mucho. Esta no era su idea de ayudar a producir un cambio. Se acercó a la puerta, con manos nerviosas la abrió y corrió hasta llegar a su casa. Al entrar cerro la puerta y echó todas las cerraduras. Durante una semana no salió ni atendió llamadas desconocidas. Y cuando pasó el día sábado salió a comprar la prensa, pero no encontró ese día ni los siguientes ninguna noticia sobre un suicidio colectivo.

And so he came to the Platonics in Action Foundation. He found out about it through the networks and decided to participate.

There was a meeting on Saturday and she signed up immediately.

When she arrived, she found a small group of only 20 people gathered in a room in the library. They waited 5 minutes, and two men and a woman arrived. After welcoming them, they sat down and began a pleasant conversation about Greek philosophers and encouraged them to read some thoughts of Socrates, Platón and others.

At first, he thought it was fine, twas fine with him. But he needed action, and on the third day, he got up and asked what activities were to be carried out and what they would contribute to humanity.

Friend, we are here to make a change, but for this, we need to take an important step. ... we have to let go of everything material, and by this I mean also of this, and I touch his body with my hands to set the soul free. The soul is the only perfect thing. We must die, and we are preparing to do it collectively next Saturday

Javier was very frightened. This was not his idea of helping to bring about change. He approached the door with nervous hands, opened it, and ran until he reached his house. As he entered, he closed the door and locked all the locks. For a week, he did not go out and did not answer any unknown calls. And when Saturday passed, he went out to buy the press, but he did not find any news that day or the following days about a collective suicide.
