Portrait with traditional watercolors and digital art

Good morning everyone, happy start to the week dear community Hive!!!

I hope they have had an incredible good weekend, that if they came out they were very careful and protected themselves… in my country “according to government figures” there are already more than 1,100 cases of covid19, some of us believe that these figures are lies but hey time will tell.

Well anyway, my post is not to talk about bad things, this time I show you a job that I did with watercolors (hidden months), I looked for them, I shook the dust and to work with them, for those who already know me in the community they know I am not an expert with watercolors, I like them a lot, I admire the artists who work with them, but unfortunately in my case it is somewhat difficult for me, so in the end I touched up my work a bit so it became a mix between digital art and traditional watercolors. Hopefully in my small town someday they will give a course on watercolors but so far no, it does not exist so I can only continue practicing in the hope that someday I will know how to use them. 

I did not do anything of the other world, as I mentioned I do not have much knowledge in this branch so I do not start inventing so much and I do not add more complexity to the matter. ;)

Once I did the sketch, I started to paint.

In the second step, I worked on the skin, which I made with the help of 3 colors.

3.jpg

In this step I worked the hair a bit, I wanted it curly since I never do it like that.

FINAL RESULT

In the final step, I took a photo of it and I passed it to PS, since I don't have how to outline the edges, I pass it there to make some adjustments, I made the eyes and adjusted the color and I already had the portrait ready.

XD

Saludos cariño!!! ;)

Yeah watercolor is actually difficult. I think it's the most difficult medium to work with! It's amazing how you could still come up with a solution to your frustration and have this work. I love it! It seems quite different from what I've seen from you but still screams out your name. Like I know it has been done by you lol. I love the colors as well, so vibrant! Keep practicing it and you'll get used to watercolor somehow. :D

But it is the watercolor, that as much as I try to get along with it, it still does not get used to me, it hates me. hehehehehe.

If I have realized that... only I find it a thousand times more difficult than normal, so incredible the artists of the community that they do know how to use it. I think for now I will give up, better I keep working on my digital illustrations and improving to become a concept artist "someday XD" which I think I have a little more chance. LOL

Greetings and thank you very much for stopping by my post @hiddenblade, I appreciate your support and great comment.

1,100? Your Covid-19 cases are still minimal. We have over 8000 here.

Nice art.

Cheers

Hi Williams... yes, 1100 cases but the reality is that we do not believe those figures, in addition to Venezuela not being able to endure anything much less this pandemic, everything is deteriorated including the health system.

8000 is a lot, where are you from? I hope that the pandemic does not continue to advance and that those who are infected will recover soon.

Greetings and take care. :)

Hi @yanes94,im from Nigeria. The health system is also bad here. This pandemic exposed a lot of the deficiencies in our health system. Some hospitals don't have a single ventilator. It's so sad.

Quite a number of people are recovering and there are quite a few mortality too. The cases keep increasing day in day out. As much as we have no choice than to believe the figures the press publishes we hope it will all become a thing of the past soon.

I followed you and hope to see more of your posts.

Thank you. ❤️

Hello @williams-owb, that is one of the things that frustrates me the most, many countries live in a very bad state, in my case I think that politics is the worst that humanity has invented, they live well, they enjoy the riches of the countries and they put the people to spend work... for example my country has many resources, many natural riches and it is not explained how it is submerged in shit, we are one of the countries with the most oil in the world and we do not even have gasoline.

Hospitals do not work, education is the worst and well if I start counting everything I will spend days... the truth is that we should not live in such conditions. "no country"

Thanks for following me, I hope you like my work.

Cheers!!! ;)

Watercolor and Photoshop came together splendidly! I'm obsessed with both her vibrant, wavy blue hair and those sparkling blue eyes!

Excellent work! @yanes94💙
