THE SPRING…...decoration of a ceiling

Cherubes, flowers, bird, butterflies…..it’s spring!!!
They are all in a circle around the perimeter of the room’ceiling. They seems to dance, it’s a party of colors, it’s an atmosphere of joy.

Putti, fiori, uccelli, farfalle…..è primavera !!!
Sono tutti in cerchio attorno al perimetro del soffitto della stanza. Sembra che ballino, è una festa di colori, è un'atmosfera di gioia.

This was what the girl’s parents wanted....rightly so....and I did. The design is decidedly classic, it reminds us of the Renaissance frescoes, by Raphael, Mantegna, Botticelli or some frescoes in the rooms of the Palace of Versailles in Paris.

Questo era ciò che volevano i genitori della ragazza...giustamente...e io l'ho fatto. Il design è decisamente classico, ricorda gli affreschi rinascimentali, di Raffaello, Mantegna, Botticelli o alcuni affreschi nelle sale della Reggia di Versailles a Parigi.

I made it with acrylic colors and I must say that it was an hard work, very demanding because it was not easy to work in that position, always with the head upwards…..incredible, crazy!!!
When I do such work I often think to all artists, who worked and still work in these conditions,

L'ho realizzato con colori acrilici e devo dire che è stato un lavoro duro, molto impegnativo perché non era facile lavorare in quella posizione, sempre con la testa all'insù… ..incredibile, pazzesco !!!
Quando faccio un lavoro del genere penso spesso a tutti gli artisti, che hanno lavorato e lavorano ancora in queste condizioni,

always suspended in the air on scaffording or on large stairs, to reach the high ceilings. They were called by the Popes or by the nobles of the time, for decoration cathedrals and noble bildings, which today are the heritage of humanity.
In my small way I was able to experience the great effort it takes to carry out this type of work.
For this reason I get excited when I am in front of great works of art.

sempre sospesi in aria su ponteggi o su grandi scale, per raggiungere i soffitti alti. Erano chiamati dai Papi o dai nobili dell'epoca, per la decorazione di cattedrali e nobili edifici, che oggi sono patrimonio dell'umanità.
Nel mio piccolo ho potuto sperimentare la grande fatica che ci vuole per svolgere questo tipo di lavoro.
Per questo mi emoziono quando mi trovo davanti a grandi opere d'arte.
