Painting Album Covers on Old CDs | Amy Winehouse - Back to Black [ENG-ESP]

I had this idea for a long time, but I don't know why I hadn't done it. I had thought of doing this idea, not on old CDs, but on some wall in my room. Since I had said that when I painted my room, which I did, I was going to paint all my favorite albums on some wall. But I had all these old CDs, that I didn't want to throw away and that's when it came to my mind to paint the album covers on these CDs.

Tenia esta idea desde hace muchísimo tiempo, pero no se por que no la había hecho. Había pensado hacer esta idea, no en CDs viejos, sino en alguna pared de mi cuarto. Ya que había dicho que cuando pintara mi cuarto, que lo hice, iba a pintar todos mis álbumes favoritos en alguna pared. Pero tenia todos estos CDs viejos, que no quería botar y fue cuando se me vino a la mente pintar las portadas de los álbumes en estos CDs.

The first time I heard something of Amy Winehouse, was in a music program on TV and it seemed to me a little different style of music than what I normally listened to, but I liked it. That was in 2007 and by that time I didn't have internet at home, so I remember going to a friend's house and looking for more of her work and when I came across her album Back to Black, I was completely in love with that woman.

La primera vez que escuche algo de Amy Winehouse, fue en un programa de música en la TV y me parecía un estilo de música un poco diferente a lo que normalmente escuchaba, pero me gustaba. Eso fue en el 2007 y para ese entonces no tenia internet en mi casa, así que recuerdo que fui a casa de un amigo y busque más de sus trabajados y cuando me tope con su álbum Back to Black, quede completamente enamorado de esa mujer.

It wasn't really the genre or style of music that I listened to, but there was something about his music that grabbed me the first time I heard his work. His lyrics, his way of singing, impeccable instrumentals, it was everything. I remember the day I received that news that left me devastated, just by listening to it.

Realmente no era el genero ni estilo de música que yo escuchara, pero tenia algo en su música que me atrapo a la primera que escuche sus trabajos. Sus letras, su forma de cantar, instrumentales impecables, fue todo. Recuerdo el día en que recibí aquella noticia que me dejo devastado, con solo haberla escuchado.

I was listening to the radio in my room and suddenly they interrupted the broadcast that day, I guess it was important, since it was not something that was commonly done. And they just said it, Amy Winehouse has died...It was the first time I felt the loss of one of my favorite artists, not even the death of Michael Jackson affected me as much as Amy's death.

Estaba escuchando la radio en mi cuarto y de pronto interrumpieron la transmisión de ese día, supongo que era importante, ya que no era algo que se hiciera comúnmente. Y simplemente lo dijeron, Amy Winehouse a muerto...Fue la primera vez que sentía la perdida de uno de mis artistas favoritos, ni siquiera la muerte de Michael Jackson me afecto tanto como la de Amy.

Great artist, who left an immense legacy in music that will last for many years to come. If you have never heard anything about her, I guess you have, because she is AMY WINEHOUSE. I invite you to listen to her music, she really was and will be a great artist.
