Painting a red teapot
Hi friends.
I did this oil painting in two sessions as an exercise to quickly find the shape and practice mixing colors.
On cardboard previously primed with a warm color (Burnt Sienna) I drew the pot with Burnt Umber diluted with white spirit.
At this stage, I have used Burnt Umber and Yellow Ochre Pale to make the gradation of color.
For the red color, I mixed Burnt Umber, Permanent Alizarin Crimson, and Yellow Ocher Pale.
Finally, I give some little touches of Titanium White to get some highlights.
Hope you liked it.
Have a nice day!
