Hello illustration-loving Hivers!
Today I want to share with you a practice I did with Procreate.
I wanted to give myself my Kawaii style escapades and go into the furries hahaha... just kidding. In fact, this a furry by accident, I didn't know how I wanted the legs and in my sketch, they looked like cat or dog legs. So I dared to end up as a furry.
Today I was thinking about the apps I use for illustration. I had been looking for the best app and guess what? I've found it. I'm kidding again, I'm sorry to disappoint you but there isn't one, actually, the best app will be the one that meets your goals.
I've come to the conclusion that every app has its own best tool or special features. Their interfaces and tool may look very similar, but they are actually very different.
From each of the apps that I use I like using something that the others don't have. In the beginning, this was frustrating for me, but now knowing all the programs has helped me to recognize which one to use for the purposes I'm looking for each illustration. I'm excited to make the next post where I'll tell you about the first app I used, the ones I use now, and what I find useful in each one of them.

El día de hoy les quiero compartir una práctica que hice en Procreate.

He llegado a la conclusión de que cada app tiene sus herramientas o características estrellas por así decirlo. Aunque su interfaz y herramientas sean muy parecidas, en la práctica son muy diferentes.
De cada aplicación me gusta algo que las otras no tienen. Al principio esto me resultaba frustrante, pero al día de hoy el conocer mejor a los programas me ha ayudado a saber cual usar para los propósitos que estoy buscando en cada ilustración. Estoy emocionada por hacer el siguiente post donde les contaré de la primera app que use, cuales uso ahora y qué características me gustan más en cada una de ellas.

I use Ibis Painter for most of my stuff but it's more a matter of material availability and technological limitation than preference. It's an amazing app, no doubt thete but if I had a better machine, say, like a graphic tablet for pc, I'd be using Clip Studio.
If I were to level up to a competent tablet like an ipad Pro, I'd be split between Procreate and Infinite Painter. I've used the latter and guess it would deliver on a good tablet. I haven't had the pleasure of trying out Procreate but what I've seen from demos makes so jealous. I'd definitely give it a drive for the brushes. Those look amazing.

I understand you, it took us two years to buy the iPad and I had a lot of expectations with Procreate and it is a very good app, it has things that other apps do not have. But to be honest there is some features form ibis paint that I miss. As I say in the post there is no app that has it all.
I am on the process to buy clip studio paint and infinite painter. Some days ago I tested Adobe Fresco and it's a great app it simulates watercolor.
Great illustration, I really like it! For iPad I've tried only Procreate and it is so handy that I've never tried anything else. For Mac and PC I am drawing in Adobe Photoshop. For PC also I've recently started to experiment with Leonardo drawing app. It imitates real materials very good and made specially for Surface Pro tablets.

Sounds interesting, at the moment I only have the iPad and I mostly Procreate, that was one of the reasons we bought the iPad Pro. Before buying the iPad I was using ibis Paint on my cellphone and when I changed to procreate I realized that there were many useful functions from ibis paint that Procreate does not have, does tools help me draw more efficiently, that's why I'm still on the look of other apps to help improve my illustrations.
Clip Studio Paint se volvió mi mejor amigo desde el día que lo compré. Su función para manejar texto no será tan potente como Photoshop todavía pero para ilustración es lo mejor que me pudo haber pasado.
Me gusta mucho el step process y las patitas te quedaron lindas hehe.

Justo acabo de bajar clip studio paint, todavía no la he comprado pero creo que lo haré pronto porque para guardar las publicaciones me pide hacer eso.
Estuve probando un poco clip studio paint y este dibujo me hubiera gustado hacerlo en esa porque me gustó mucho la manera de hacer el difuminiado.
Nunca he dibujado con una app de teléfonos, pero la que sí utilizo es Photoshop para casi todo 🤩
Por mucho tiempo fue mi única forma de hacer dibujos digitales, me sirvió mucho de práctica.
