Mermay DTIYS and Drawing Exercises Video
Hello everyone!
These past days have been very busy, we have been working on several projects: making videos, drawing (a lot), creating content for Hive, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and other platforms. Also with Marina we have been working on social projects that might be very good in the future. So even though we are locked up at home we have been very, very busy and also very happy.
Today I am sharing with you only one #DrawThisInYourStyle illustration but I am also sharing a video that we just made. We will be uploading videos on YouTube every Tuesday and we will be sharing here. Hope you like them, the videos are in Spanish I will add a brief description in English.
As you will see in the drawing I combined the DTIYS with the current challenged called "Mermay". I want to continue doing DTIYS drawings but I also want to participate in some way in this mermay challenge that involves Mermaids so I decided to transform my DTIYS into cute mermaids. What do you think? Is it a good Idea? I will keep sharing more illustrations like this one!

As I said the video is in Spanish but I will give you an explanation:
In this video I am showing some drawing exercises that have been very helpful for me. The main idea is to loosen the hand so you can draw better.
Start by drawing odd shapes, for example, the shape of a little bean. Draw the silhouette or shape several times and then draw a smaller one or one slightly different.
Another exercise is this one: draw a circle but in the opposite direction that you normally draw them. For example if you are used to drawing circles clockwise try drawing them counter clockwise. Repeat the exercise. Remember to hold the pencil as far from the tip as possible.
Finally: Practice drawing curves and nature elements like flowers, fruits and other odd shapes. For example, you can crumble a piece of paper and draw it.
