Watercolor inspired by the music of Kevin Morby🌛


A few days ago I heard for the first time the song that I found very beautiful and profound in its lyrics, while I was watching an animated series it was like a soundtrack, it caught me a lot and while I was drawing a watercolor painting I was inspired by that song; Parade of Kevin Morby singer of indie rock music.


The song to my interpretation is about how alone we can feel in front of new situations and also new places, where we must start from scratch where our soul and body are worn out and everything must be started again, where we need moments of reconstruction of ourselves. themselves and that inspired me this work. that's how it went for me:

As always my works are somewhat surreal and this is not the exception, two people with masked faces representing two types of states, expressing how while we can be happy on the other side there may be a sad and discarded person in his life, who passes by a situation in which we are not, here I wanted to show how we are masks in the parade of everyday life. In order not to show how truly we are inside our soul, just as other people cannot hide what they feel.

The art of a song is united with an image represented in a soul that seeks to be recognized and rebuild a life, for me the song by kevin morby expresses the need to put things in order and have the optimism that this will be the case and that everything It happens that everything is a mountain and that things are taking their own course, looking for a bank to lean on or perhaps a shoulder. He talks about the things in life that must have a course and that also starting again does not mean being wasted, that you can always start again.

Acuarela inspirada en la musica de Kevin Morby🌛


Hace unos días escuché por primera la vez una canción que me pareció muy hermosa y profunda en su letra, mientras veía una serie animada estaba como soundtrack, me atrapo mucho y mientras hacia una pintura de acuarela me inspiré en esa canción; Parade de Kevin Morby cantante de música indie rock.


La canción a mi interpretación trata de lo solos que nos podemos sentir frente a situaciones nuevas y también a nuevos lugares, donde debemos empezar de cero donde nuestra alma y cuerpo están desgastadas y todo debe ser empezado de nuevo, donde necesitamos momentos de reconstrucción de nosotros mismos y eso me inspiró esta obra . así me fue:

Como siempre mis obras son un tanto surrealistas y esta no es la excepcion , dos personas con caras de mascaras representando dos tipos de estados, expresando como mientras podemos estar felices del otro lado puede haber una persona desecha y triste en su vida, que pasa por una situación en la que no estamos nosotros, aquí quise mostrar como somos mascaras en el desfile de la vida del día a día. Para no mostrar como de verdad estamos por dentro en nuestra alma, así como otras personas no pueden ocultar lo que sienten.

El arte de una canción se une con una imagen representada en un alma que busca ser reconocida y rehacer una vida, para mi la canción de kevin morby expresa la necesidad de poner las cosas en orden y tener el optimismo de que así sera y que todo pasa que todo es un montemo y que las cosas van tomando su propio rumbo, buscar un banco dónde apoyarnos o tal vez un hombro. Habla de las cosas de la vida que deben tener un curso y que también empezar de nuevo no quiere decir estar desechos, que siempre se puede empezar de nuevo.

I really like this and the story behind it. A lot of the times we do wear a mask. Usually it is to hide the sadness, the vulnerability, the fear. It makes us even more sad to never be able to take it down and reveal ourselves for what we trully are. It takes a lot of courage and the right person in order to slowly remove the mask that makes us look like a happy clown when we actually might be crying on the inside. Thank you for sharing!
