Medieval Explorer ( step by step )

Hello everybody.
I want to share with you this watercolor character design Study for a series called "explorers" ...
I imagined a medieval traveler .
You will see the various steps

FRIST STEP
I created the sketch one with a red pencil

SECOND STEP
I continue the study by inserting lights and shadows to give volume to the shapes and some details

THIRD STEP
On a watercolor sheet I chose the format and drew the subject with a pencil to understand the measurements and
how to enter the various details.
And I gave a first draft of color to highlight the subject

FOURTH STEP
I insert the first details and I go to create the dark areas adding color

FIFTH STEP
I gave a third coat of color to put moore details the shadows and highlights.

SIXTH STEP
With the fourth coat of color I finish creating the last areas of shadow and light. I fill in the details on the subjet and wait for it to dry
SEVENTH STEP
I compare the pencil study with the watercolor drawing to see if I have put all the lights and shadows well
