The 13 Cribs of Christmas - #12

When I began my blog posts on Steem/ Hive I thought that it would be a great opportunity for me to document all the sculptures I had made over the 20 something years as an Ephemeral Sculptor. It had been something I had wanted to do for many years but every time I started my enthusiasm quickly burned out as I felt like I was just talking to the wall and without any audience to guide me it all became just thankless work.

With this blog I have been quite fortunate (I could, of course, be fortunater but I'll keep working on that with the help of the community) The rewards are always nice, whatever I get and I'd be lying if I said they didn't help keep me motivated but the main thing is the feedback. It has encouraged me to continue and give an honest insight into my process. But one of the most interesting things for me is that slowly but surely the sculptures have tended, in some ways, to become a backdrop to the stories that surrounded them and now as I continue on my self imposed mission I find myself opening up more and more about my personal life and the blog has morphed into a memoir of my life.

This sculpture from 2011, in La Pineda, wasn't crazy exciting but the back story was an important time for me so, please give it a read by clicking on the image.
