Today I decided to do an exercise to develop creativity. A kind of free drawing in which I start to draw something and from there I give free rein to my imagination, without planning much.

Hoy decidí hacer un ejercicio de creatividad. Una especie de dibujo libre en el que comienzo a dibujar algo y de allí doy rienda suelta a mi imaginación, sin planificar mucho.

I did this exercise totally digitally, without making manual sketches, without references, without a color palette.

Este ejercicio lo hice totalmente digital, sin hacer bocetos manuales, sin referencias, sin paleta de colores.

I feel like I don't want to do it again in digital format, it took more hours than I expected changing one thing and another later, but the result satisfies me.

Siento que no quiero hacerlo de nuevo en formato digital, fueron más horas de las que esperaba cambiando una y otra cosa luego, pero el resultado me satisface.

First step: I draw a female face. As you can see from the sketch, I was planning to do it with my lips parted.

Primera parte: En primera instancia, dibuje un rostro femenino. Como pueden ver en el boceto, tenía pensado hacerla con los labios entreabiertos.

I paint with some base colors, without much thought, a rather dark and monochrome palette.

Establecí unos colores base, sin pensarlo mucho, una paleta bastante oscura y monocromática.

After I painted the skin, it seemed to me that that shade was very dead, and I didn't want her to look like a zombie. So I kept painting parts of the face with red tones, including the eyes.

Luego que pinté la piel, me parecía que ese tono era muy muerto, y no quería que pareciera una zombie. Así que seguí pintando partes del rostro con tonos rojos, incluyendo los ojos.

I continued applying red tones, but this time with the brush in multiply mode, in this way I make the shadows using the same tone.

Seguí aplicando tonos rojos, pero esta vez con el pincel en funcion multiplicar, de esta manera hago las sombras usando el mismo tono.

Her eyes were so red and her skin so pale that I couldn't stop thinking about how similar she was to a vampire, and I didn’t like that much, I didn't want to paint a vampire girl. I chose a strong pink shade and alternating between the brush normal mode and screen mode I painted her eyes.

Sus ojos eran tan rojos y su piel tan pálida que no podía dejar de pensar en el parecido que tenía a un vampiro, y no era de mi agrado, no quería pintan una chica vampira. Elegí un tono rosado fuerte y alternando entre el pincel el modo normal y modo trama pinté sus ojos.

Once I did this I started to like it more. Her pink eyes remind me of the pink eyes of rabbits. Everything was beginning to take more shape. But I felt I needed to highlight the existence of pink eyes and their similarity to rabbits, without the need to make them bigger.

Una vez que hice esto me empezó a agradar más. Sus ojos rosados me recuerdan los ojos rosados de los conejos. Todo empezaba a tomar más forma. Sin embargo, tenía la necesidad que resaltar la existencia de los ojos rosados y su similitud con los conejos, sin la necesidad de hacerlos más grandes.

Then I imagined her as a mother rabbit, with lots of rabbits housed in her hair, hidden but always attentive. And that's how I painted those pink eyes.

Entonces la imaginé cono una madre coneja, con montones de conejos albergados en su cabello, ocultos pero siempre atentos. Y así fue como dibujé ojos rosados..

To finish, I added a worn texture for the background.

Para finalizar, agregué una textura gastada para el fondo.

So I ended this exercise, in which I made an illustration that I had not planned. Hope you like.
