I BECOME OTHER WOMEN / Illustration by Alejandra Her
I like to draw women. Simply that.
I draw women because I am a woman, and I feel that every time I do so I speak to millions of women who do not know me and who I do not know, but we share something: joy, sadness, motherhood, disappointment, indignation; any feeling or emotion.
Knowing all of them helps me to know myself. I become others, like that album that I enjoyed so much (Eu me transformo em outras), by the Artist Zélia Duncan.
I hope you enjoy. Here is my creative process.

Me gusta dibujar mujeres.
Conocerlas a todas me ayuda a conocerme a mi misma.
Step 1: sketch.
I draw an sketch digitally. Sometimes, I like to change some details as I color.
Step 2: Background skin color
Set a background skin color helps me to maintain the temperature I want. In this case I wanted to be warm. It works well also with green, purple and blue.
Step 3: Painting the skin
There is no much to explain. I start painting the skin in a new layer.
Step 4: Line art
I hide the sketch line layer and I paint a new line with the texture I want.
Step 5: Hair and details
I painted the hair different from my sketch. I just think this way is more dynamic.
I painted all the details in her face, some shadows and lights too.
Step 6: Background
I painted with the airbrush with this warm green and yellow.

Lovely work!
Me encanta tu dibujo, bien hecho!
Excelente, me encanta ver tu proceso.
