Wednesday Walk - Goslings are Hiding
Here are some hidden Canadian Geese goslings by the lake for this #wednesdaywalk by @tattoodjay
In the early morning I went out looking for the newly hatched goslings by the lake. All I saw was the mom with her right wing hanging out in a conspicuous way.,
The father was keeping guard. It got pretty cold this morning so I suspected that the goslings were hiding under her right wing.
You can tell she is a bit cold too. She is nice and fluffed up.
I zoomed in as best I could under her wing and saw a couple little goslings keeping warm under her wing.
As I crossed to the other side of the lake I pointed my camera back at the area and boom the goslings were running around.
They all ran out from under her wing and piled up down at the bottom of the hill.
Now that the sun is up the goslings can warm up a bit. This robin was taking advantage of the sun rays as well.
The red-winged blackbirds can also show off in the early morning sun.
Here he is showing off to defend his territory from the other blackbirds in the area.
The trilliums are blooming now as well. Hopefully I can start finding some morel mushrooms soon on my Wednesday walks.
That's amazing.
All the images you display are amazing.
I prefer the bird image.
How far did you take the bird's picture?
Most I got around 10 feet close to except for the one from across the lake. That was at least 100 feet away.
That's so far, you use a wonderful camera,So that you get very perfect results.
Incredible
Thanks :-)
You're welcome

My trilliums opened on Tuesday also. :))
You get any white ones yet?
I only have the red ones left. I used to have a bi color decades ago, but it died.
The weather has been strange here it was 87 degrees then it went down to 40 degrees and I noticed the white trilliums growing along with the red ones. I'm hoping my morel mushroom season didn't get ruined from these drastic swings in temperature. At least the early and late trilliums are blooming at the same time.
That's odd, about the trilliums, but must also be pretty cool!
Sorry I have been slack with supporting the Wednesday Walk for a few months now Life has been hectic, but I will try and visit all Wednesday Walks going forward when time permits
But that said thanks for joining Wednesday Walk
Glad to hear from you, hopefully the hecticness will subside.
It is slowly settling down
Great shots wow-wee
Soon the other nest on the lake will hatch then there will be goslings galore and the fox will start coming around to try and snag a couple.
