This is my second entry for the #wednesdaywalk challenge hosted by @tattoodjay

My entry for the walk includes a short hike after rain clouds, and the search for the infamous wildflower, the Blue Bells.

Despite being cold, miserable, and dreary, the sun crept out from behind the clouds just for a bit this morning on the daily walk. With temperatures in the 30F range, I have already forgotten that one week ago today, I was wearing shorts and a t-shirt on the same walk.

After the cool 30 minute trek toward the bluff, I found the wildflowers, spreading quite heavily in the cool light of the morning sun.

The true sign that life is back and winter is finally (finally!) dying. The flowers are like weeds and spread everywhere, but I'm ok with it. It's life, after all, returning from a long slumber.

It's nice to feel the Earth alive on a morning like today. Despite the cold wanting to cling on, the color of the sun upon the clouds, the blue and the green upon the grey of winter dirt, and even the lingering cloud of breath in the air after each exhale reminds that spring is on the way.

Thanks so much for stopping by and checking my walk out!

It is very beautiful when the ground is covered with a carpet of flowers in the spring!

Thank you! I am hoping to photograph more as the spring evolves over here. It's the little things in life that I've learned to appreciate (and photograph, too)

Those are some awesome wildflowers you got there! I love seeing those, particularly juxtaposed against the bitter chill of a morning in the 30’s. The flowers are almost huddling down to fend off the cold and I’m sure when the sun comes up fully to warm them they pop right up to face it. Cool stuff here!

Thanks! I kind of feel bad for the vegetation around here. Four weeks ago, it was 10 F, then last week, we hit 70 F, and now it's back to 30F. Ready for May!

There is nothing as beautiful as woodland flowers in the spring. Thank you for posting.
