Wednesday Walk: It's fun, the road in my place is improved

Wow, I feel late posting in this community. Usually, I post on a Wednesday night. But last night I couldn't post, because my grandson wants to keep playing with me.

Yes, these few days my grandson is staying at my house. Her name is 'Ala Addin Hidayat. He is only three years old. He is the first child of my second child. Addin really likes to play with me. Even while eating, bathing and sleeping he wants to be with me. He likes hanging out with me. And this should leave me free to go with him to hunt for experiences that I can share in this Wednesday Walk community.

But, my grandson doesn't like to be dirty. While outside the house must be dirty and wet because of the rainy season. Moreover, at my place, the main road is being repaired. So of course my grandson would feel uncomfortable if I took him for a walk.

Actually, even though it's rainy season, I'd really love it if I could get away from home. I think there's always something interesting when I'm out of the house.

However, luckily, at least I can still see the main road being repaired. I am very impressed with this major road improvement project. This is because the cost of repairing this main road comes from non-governmental organizations. Not from the government or the developer of the housing complex where we live.

The repaired road is 130 meters long, 4.5 meters wide and 0.05 meters high. It costs around Rp. 30 million. Thank God, the cost of that amount can be met from community donations in our place. They love to do it, because they want to have a good road.

Indeed, in our place many roads are damaged with potholes. Especially in this rainy season. Many roads are damaged. We know that damaged roads with potholes make road users uncomfortable. Damaged roads can also invite accidents, in addition to destroying the beauty of the environment.

Therefore, on November 16, 2021, Chairman of the Association, Teguh Wismadi, invited residents to raise funds for road repairs.

Alhamdulillah, the community welcomed it enthusiastically. The next day, Rp11,550,000 was collected from 82 people. Until finally on Sunday, November 28, 2021, the road construction could be carried out, because Rp. 30 million have been collected (out of 198 people). ***
