wednesday walk at St.Petersburg (visual story, 15 photo)

Just a little walk (or, you may think of a run) under rain across St.Petersburg street without an umbrella but with a camera. Happily, it wasnt a heavy rain. All pictures taken by me.

So, it was a rainy day.

...which is great for photography (although I love the sun and sunny days much more). Rain changes everything around, it brings freshness, feeling everything is well-washed, purity of colors, melancholic mood and at the same time energy, more or less it changes folk's behavior, more or less accelerates their movement (like a magnet affects magnetic filings), -- and gives everyone picturesque umbrellas. Well, almost to everyone. People tend to focus more on their route and pay less attention to everything around them (i.e. to the fact that they are being photographed). I don’t know what I like most from aforesaid... a lot of the list, actually.

Chestnut Boulevards... Dont it looks like Paris in 1930-es? unfortunately, its not!

And the chestnuts arent of the edible kind. (The edible chestnut tree specie belong to the south, it do not occur so far to the north).

But we can buy them at some local stores. I thought of taking a pic for my story, but decided not to do an extra stop under rain.

The leaves being prepared for extradiction (for further eradication).

Recently I notice more and more folks doing this senseless crazy job: pumping off dead leaves from the streets to the lawns, and from the lawns to the piles, from the piles into the ugly fat black packs. Crazy job.

Mushrooms. It seems, every second stump is taken!
Everyday I took a new pics of new mushrooms at same old spots, and follow the birth and aging of the most photo-friendly ones.

I spotted this old poplar tree that seems had a lot of extra nutrition for the Oyster mushroom mycellium - for the last two weeks I follow it and examine results with great intrest! And of course, from time to time I take pics, not everyday of course.

There is a nice rose flower bed on my way, located near tram station I pass by, I took some pictures on a sunny day with my usual macro telephoto, but today it looks very different. Of course I could not stay long, just took six shots very quickly.
