Wednesday Walk - Attenborough Nature Reserve

Attenborough Nature Reserve is located in Attenborough, Nottinghamshire, UK. It is in the next county to me. The nature reserve is owned and managed by Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust, supported by the local Council.

There is a nice cafe there. Sometimes you have to pass the bird life on the path. Their beaks have serrated edges and it comes keen if they catch you, so we took a wide berth.

I took the black and white photos with my parent's little pocket Olympus camera. I think my brother and I bought it my dad when he retired from work, many years ago.

The wood hyacinths are coming out now. In a few weeks, the place will be covered in a sea of purple.

I know these helium balloons are fun but I see so many that have "escaped" and now litter the countryside. I usually pick them up and put them in the litter bin, but I couldn't get to this one.

We did a short circular walk for about an hour. Lovely to hear the birds singing. It was really enjoyable and the weather stayed kind for us.
