Wednesday Walk Around the Pumpkin Farm

After the success of their sunflower sale, this farm grew pumpkins to sell. It was quite busy when we got there with a lovely rainbow in the sky.

Trick or Treat is more or less cancelled in my village. The villagers are just going to put a pumpkin in their gardens so children can walk around the village looking for them. No door knocking etc. I decided to purchase a pumpkin and have a go at carving it.

I've never seen white pumpkins before. Apparently, some are called polar bears.

After a few curcuits of the field I chose my pumpkin and came away happy!

Wow! What a beautiful day! Rainbows and sunshine! Some pumpkins look so unreal as they are so big! We don’t see pumpkins so big here!

I was expecting a sea of orange colour but a lot of pumpkins were hidden in the leaves.

It was a bit disappointing. I thought it would be more colourful than that but still good fun .... even for an old fart like me. 🙂

Love it what an adventure AND you even got in a rainbow too!

(I would pinched the pink wheelbarrow as well.🤣..)

But to be honest I didn't think that alloween is such a big thing in the UK- at all....It's not here- well it wasn't until a few years ago anyway...

Halloween has become very americanised over here. We never had Trick or Treat when I was growing up but kids love it here now.

Yeah same here too- which is a great excuse to get dressed up but has zero significant meaning for us...although I guess for the UK, it might in a roundabout kind of way...sort of...
