Saturday Good-byes | IAAC Year 2

Mom has always loved yellow flowers. Her faves are yellow roses. It's no wonder I was named after her fave. My name is a short form of rose yellow (Rosyel). There's apparently more to this story as I learned from my godmother who is based in Australia. I truly have not heard the story before and I thank my godmother for it.

We live in odd times. Few visited in person. I believe a whole lot more opted for online viewing. I was more than glad to share the link with them. I'm honestly not a fan of funerals. I have always believed that it's better to show appreciation while a person is still alive than shower him/her with affection and attention when he/she has passed. 🙄🙄



Let this not be good-bye. Mom will be missed as she lived with me and we had daily interactions. It wasn't perfect. We had our differences. I'm not a perfect daughter after all. Yet a part of me knows I have built wonderful memories when she was still alive.




The indoor cats Bon and Mowe have found their own special sleeping places inside the flat. For tonight, they were let out, as I got a petsitter to look after all the cats and feed them outside. It's the last night at the memorial svc place. Tomorrow, Mom's remains will be cremated.

For sure, the story continues on. I see long days ahead without Mom. It will be a long healing process. Adjustments need to be made. We'll get used to it... in time. One day at a time... one step at a time...
