Hello and welcome back to my page. I'm @daniky. Shout out from my pet "Schuby"😀. Today is the 25th of September and the day 12 of my entry to the #IAmAliveChallenge, an initiative brought forward by Eric Gustafsson @flaxz.

LEGEND_20200925_074224.gif

Today have been quite a rainy one here in this part of the world. Though not all entire parts of lagos is experiencing the rain at the moment, but the weather has been a dull one all through.

I thank God for yet another new day despite the pandemic. Each new day is a new page that should inspire us to be thankful to God for the nature of our existence. Life is the greatest gift nothing on earth can measure up with.

I'll like to use this medium of this day to acknowledge and celebrate all farmers here on hive and abode because without them, i wonder how most of us would have survived the lock down period till now.

Farmers deserves more than an acollade for making food readily available before, during and after the total lockdown. Their work isn't an easy one to come by. They spend most of their time in the farm, day in and out to make sure food is readily available for their family and the masses.

Lets use this day to appreciate every farmers around us and abode. Farming is not an easy job. That's why most youths of nowadays will rather prefer a white collar job than to be a farmer, not knowing that there are hidden gotten wealth in farming. Farming is good, but tedious and requires patience and persistence. It's more of an exercise to our heart and mind.

So, I'm making this shout-out to every farmers here and abode. Thank you for farming to feed your family and the nation at large. I appreciate your hard work and effort and pray your labour will never be in vein.

Please lets make it a duty today to celebrate at least, One farmer around us or far away. Make sure you put smiles on a farmers face today😊. #farmers

Please stay safe, stay strong and stay blessed.

Nice one Daniky.
That's a great posts and a very thoughtful shout out!

Yes, we all need farmers for without farmers we would not have the abundance of fresh fruit and veggies for our bodies to live and be healthy.

What we don't need is factory farmers who are NOT farmers.

They are commercial corporate giants, that have taken animal farming from local farmers to breed, cage, torture and murder billions of animals around the world a day in massive factories and making a trillion dollars from enslaving a living, breathing, amazing being. And eating animals is not healthy for your body. Not at all.

These beings are Mother Earth's Children- just like us, and humans are so incredibly and unspeakably cruel to them, but we are all the same (except animals are far more intelligent, loving, kind and compassionate than most humans will ever be...)

Just ask you're gorgeous Schuby. He'll tell you what's right and what's wrong.

And he is soooo totally adorable too by the way! Big love and lots of balls, sticks and swims to Schuby for me! 😍😘😘

Stay safe and well and we'll speak soon eh. 😊

Ohhh Schuby is soooo freaking adorable. He would just love me!

And then if he's your avatar and my old cat Chad (RIP my love) is my avatar, then not only will we be friends, then they will too!

I must find the photo of my cat Chad laying on my pillow as one day I was looking after a neighbour's 14yr old Golden Retriever dog Spice, and Spice just went into my bedroom and plonked himself on the end of my bed and Chad woke up (cause he didn't grow up with dogs so didn't really like them) and just turned his head around, stared at Spice, then stared at me, then put his head down and went back to sleep and the 2 of them stayed like that for an hour or so.

It was funny, cause they were both the same age and I saw them as the grumpy old men...like in the movies Grumpy Old Men...🤣😂😅

Anyway, I hope that you have a lovely weekend with Schuby! 😍

Oops so sorry for Chad's demise. I can now imagine the gravity of the connection between you and Chad and the reason Chad has been your avatar these while. Chad must have been very clever and a good actor to have shown that level of gesture when Spice surfaced. I think it's time to get over Chad and start diverting your attention to a new pet. Chad would be grateful wherever he is for treating him with so much love and care.

You really made my day worthwhile @chocolatescorpi, you're such an amazing person with a golden heart 🥰. Thanks for the funny movie😀, It's really insteresting. Schuby is extending his pleasure for acknowledging him once again. do have a lovely weekend dear😊.

This is me and the beautiful girl I grew up with and her name was Missy. Adopted

IMG_6606.JPG

This was Thelma and Louise who both died of genetic illness cause they are a bred of chicken that was genetically engineered by a company in France in the 1970's called Isa Browns, to do nothing but lay eggs, 365 days a year in factories without any time for their little bodies to recover....both adopted- saved them from the dinner table

THELMA AND LOUISE.JPG

I adopted her and she died almost a year later from cancer- adopted

And this is me and my little man- the love of my life. Adopted

My purpose on earth is to save as many animals as possible, so I don't wan to get any more pets yet as I need to travel to do what I was put on earth to do.

Then when I retire then I'll have a whole animal sanctuary......😊

wow!!! These photos are lovely and i must confess, u're such an amazing friend with a golden heart😊. Animals are gift to mankind but many of them have gone in extinction. The need to preserve these domestic pets is paramount to keep the animal race. Kudos for the love and care with your pets, i know their soul will ever be grateful and privileged to have you nocture them till death. Least i forget, greetings to spike😀. It's really nice having to see your face @chocolatescorpi. Lots of love and do have a remarkable moment😊

Yes, animals were the most precious gift to human beings from Mother Earth- such a pity humans beings take them for granted and what's even worse, is the fact that although so many animals are on the way to extinction and not enough people care to fight against those that are making them extinct, cause there's too much money in the exploitation of animals to be hunted and infact, the amount of 'canned' hunting that goes on is just terrible- animals bred to be hunted, but then the incredible amount of animals that are genetically modified to produce more milk, more beef, more eggs- like my 2 Chickens....so not only do we take the gift of animals for granted, but even worse we use them, play God to 'make them better' so we can make more money from them and treat them worse than you would treat a machine made of cold steel......

You're very right. I wish most people reasons the way you do,this world should have been a better place for both man and livestocks. Though most people ain't vegetarians. God is really merciful and compassionate, and so we are supposed to show such level of kindness and love to animals around us. Thank you for your time @chocolatescorpi. So glad to meet u on this platform. It's sunday evening here in Nigeria. Wishing you a remarkable happy new week.😊

Are there many vegetarians or vegans in Nigeria???

Yes, i think, but it's due to the low financial state of some citizens here.

Well that's better for them anyway.

It's so much healthier for your body and mind to eat a plant based diet and it looks like your land in Nigeria is quite lush with good soil for growing lots of different vegetables and fruits too, plus it also looks like you guys have a lot of rain there too? Maybe even a wet season?

Exactly, We have lots of rainfall here coupled with favorable climate. So how is Australia, hope the Wide fire spread there is finally over?

Australia is so big. We have everything happening here all the time...fires, floods, wet season, drought- literally all over the country at the same time.

What a beautiful initiative to celebrate farmers! I agree with you that it is a fundamental task for human subsistence, because without their work there would be no food for people, and on many occasions we do not value the great effort involved in producing a grain of corn or wheat, a banana, a potato. .. therefore, every time we put food in our mouths, we must thank God, Mother Nature and also the farmers.

Yes i agree with you @Sirenahippie. It's of importance we celebrate our farmers at large. Indeed, They're a true life saver to mankind. I pray God will never stop blessing them and their family🙏. I'm always glad reading through your wonderful comments on my post. It's nice meeting you once more @sirenahippie😊. Pls stay safe and blessed wherever you are.
