@rarej - I myself prefer cooking on gas stove as it provide constantly fire flame and heat. Moreover, my cooking is always a type of stir fried that need hot heating flame. Also I have electrical heating pan for an emergency case when run out of gas.

I am facing the same problem and difficulties like you that electrical heating pan is hard to control the temperature. Especially when you need a high heat for longer period of time in a stir fried menu. Once it reaches the high heat, the system will lower the temperature as a safety protocol.

Ah, so it's a common thing. I thought mine was busted. xD
