Happiness is waking up every morning and being grateful for another day. Friends. Watching the sunrise. Watching the sunset, releasing the day into a blaze of color. Letting your hair blow in the breeze. Walking through the rain. Smiling and having someone smile back. Being happy. It's what's for breakfast. Especially in these times.
We took fun for granted, those wonderful days of summer. Water skiing, swimming, and taking the boat out on Long Island Sound. Pulling up to an island in the middle of nowhere and clamming. Feeling for them with our feet as we never brought a clam rake. I wore a perpetual tan from running wild, straight into the sunshine.
Nowadays, you will find me walking the shores of the Atlantic, on a piece of abandoned beach near the Shore House. My hair still favors the blonde streaks randomly running through my hair, but now I need a haircut. I watch as the sun sets and I cannot for the life of me remember why I was in so much in a hurry to grow up. I lived a charmed life and didn't even know it.
Today is a #BeautifulSunday in so many ways. I want to thank @Ace108 for hosting the tag and for his constant support in all things Hive. I also want to thank @c0ff33a for hosting #SublimeSunday, making this a straightforward day of sunshine and happiness. I love my @c0ff33a and he likes eclectic. A match made in heaven.
We picked through the fields of wildflowers, carefully weaving chains of daisies as we lay in the shade of the decidedly decrepit oak tree. It was a flip of the coin as to whether we would bejewel ourselves with a crown of floral or play the inevitable “he loves me, he loves me not” game. Oh, the days leading up to the shine of summer!
He loves me. He loves me not. He loves me. — at Home Sweet Home.
It is so hard to pass up unusual beauty when I see it. "Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder" Always. There are times, when, it is not so obvious. There have been moments when I meet a person and over time, they become more and more beautiful, so much that it radiates outward, spilling into my life. If you should be so lucky to find people like that, hold them tight, never let them go.
I never have. There are many from different walks of life. Some are friends I have met in the last few years, so, I have known forever. We are besties. Cradle to grave.
Soft and gentle
Appearances can be so misleading
The beauty in your eyes
Watching me
Embrace the passion
Of petals blooming
Sighing, far into the light

Yes we as kids had it made and never knew it. Makes one realize the meaning of the phrase "Youth is wasted on the young." Oh to go back to those days! I know I would love to relive them again.

Oh, yes! If only, right? Would I do the same things over? Date the same? Make the same mistakes or correct them and change history?

I remember my friend saying the best times were when actually when we were still studying and the only problem then was money. The sea side would be a nice visit but I hope to be able to go the parks and gardens and see some flowers like @dswigle.
Haha! Isn't that the truth, Ace! @ace108 I am not going to the parks yet, they were closed. This is my neighborhood, which we are allowed to walk, keeping social distancing, and wearing a mask if we are not. I hope your time comes soon.
Did I hear they partly shut down Bejing from COVID?

I think people still go out and walk but not as far as before.
I remember some about a new outbreak cluster in Beijing but not sure the details.

But really, I even got the notion from your posts that you don't want us to see you randomly, enjoying yourself. I mean, I see your polished nails or feet, and all, but very rare with a real selfie. And even the places that you've been, you don't take pictures of yourself.
I even have a hard time posting with places, because our faces are almost in every pictures! Hahaha! 😛😂 I think Filipinos are extreme with their selfie life.

I have lots of pictures of me in the places I go to. The internet can be so creepy, I don't post that many, but, I suppose if they have one, does it matter? It's not that I don't want anyone to see me, it is just I am always behind the camera. There are a lot of people that never post themselves.
As you can see, that is not the case with me, I am just self-conscious, that is all. My kids have forbidden me to post them online. LOL
Yes, I can understand. Filipino minds think that you have never been into that place if you don't have a selfie! So, when you got into a place, before anything else, you got to have a selfie! Weird, right? 😂
I'm pretty sure they do. Had your kids not forbid you to post them online, I know you'll bombard us with them! Hahaha! 😂 I remember seeing your daughter though. Just once, kissing her horse. ❤ And she's pretty. 😍

Oh, the wonderful memories of youth. And, yes! Why were we in such a hurry to grow up. We had the world by the tail every single day going through life with such vivid imagery. You spoke so beautifully about summer, about the beach that I felt a tightness in my chest and a great longing for the sea.
Winter, spring, autumn are so beautiful but my favorite is summer and I think yours is the same.
Of course, I love them all, but, summer has such fond memories. My dad took his vacations in the summer, we were off school, we went away to our summer house, the sea really started calling my name, even louder than normal.
I think you are right. Them same memories carried on through adulthood. :)

Suppose when you're a kid it doesn't require effort to remember to live and enjoy life. As life continues so many distractions. Lately I've been trying to find that balance between living and adulting. Thanks for the reminder. I'll take as many as I can get. LOL
