Today I want to share with you a beautiful flower, which represents one of the national symbols of my country, Venezuela, the Orchid. It is a very beautiful flower, with its beautiful purple color that characterizes it, a gift that nature offers us.
Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes una hermosa flor, la cual representa uno de los símbolos patrio de mi país, Venezuela, la Orquídea. Es una flor muy hermosa, con su bello color morado que la caracteriza, un regalo que nos ofrece la naturaleza.
The flowers represent the most beautiful thing that nature offers us, their different colors, very rich aromas that differentiate them from each other. In my country there is a great variety of flowers, they are used to make beautiful flower arrangements, medicine, even sweets.
Las flores representan lo más bello que la naturaleza nos brinda, sus diversos colores, aromas muy ricos que la diferencia unas de otras. En mi país existe una gran variedad de flores, son usadas para realizar hermosos arreglos florales, medicina, hasta dulces.
The orchid, also known as cattleyas, is a very widespread flower in much of the Cordillera de la Costa, apart from its extraordinary beauty, the orchid is the only flower whose name has all five vowels.
It is composed of three elongated sepals, behind, and three wider petals, in front. The lower petal is larger than the two lateral ones and is modified in the shape of a lip, which is why it is also called the lip. Usually, the lip has dots and spots of various colors, which makes it stand out even more to the eye.
La orquídea, también conocida como cattleyas, es una flor muy difundida en gran parte de la Cordillera de la Costa, aparte de su extraordinaria belleza, la orquídea es la única flor cuyo nombre posee las cinco vocales.
Está compuesta por tres sépalos alargados, detrás, y tres pétalos más anchos, al frente. El pétalo inferior es de mayor tamaño que los dos laterales y está modificado en forma de labio, por lo que también recibe el nombre de labelo. Usualmente, el labelo presenta puntos y manchas de variados colores, lo que lo hace resaltar aún más a la vista.
The purple orchid: Represents the symbol of justice, prudence and wisdom. They are very beautiful, this type of orchid is the most common and sought after by people, for its beautiful color.
La orquídea morada: Representa el símbolo de justicia, prudencia y sabiduría. Son muy hermosas, este tipo de orquídea es la más común y buscada por las personas, por su hermoso color.
I took these photos at my grandfather's house, he is a lover of orchids, he has many varieties of different colors and types. I wanted to make this post as a gift for him, since he spends a lot of time and effort taking care of his orchids.
Estas fotos las tomé en casa de mi abuelo, él es amante de las orquídeas, tiene muchas variedades de distintos colores y tipos. Quise elaborar este post como un regalo para él, ya que le dedica mucho tiempo y esfuerzo cuidando sus orquídeas.
