nuevas emociones comienzan a florecer,
donde todo empieza a resplandecer,
y con una inmensa calidez,
acoge todo lo que llega a acariciar.
Es entonces cuando comienzo a caminar,
para detallar y apreciar,
lo que, en ti,
mi pequeña primavera,
puedo observar…
y de un color rosa que marcaba su peculiaridad;
las noté;
flor de mayo;
admirarla producía una sensación de paz,
y contemplarla minuciosamente,
era como aprender de su sabiduría,
al notar su prudencia,
y aunque a veces me produzca nostalgia,
English Version
There is a huge variety of flowers and I like many types, but among so many, there are 3 that have more my attention. These are:
- Iris
Flower that is a beauty and what I like about it are its vivid colors and the strong scent it can have.
Besides that there are a wide variety of colors and its size is to note.
- Orchid
I must say that this flower stands out not only for its great beauty but also for the enormous variety of species and colors that there are. However, my choice for it is more linked to two other reasons. The first is that it is the national flower of my country (Venezuela) and the second and most important, is that when I was a child, at home, they had one. It started as just a sapling and today there are already many. It has passed through the care of my great-aunt, mother, my brother and me. It gives me some nostalgia, since as a migrant, it has not been possible for me to return to my parents' house, but I know that it is well and that this year it gave beautiful white flowers at the beginning of April. I don't have photos from that time though.
This photo was passed on to me by my brother.
- Lotus Flower
This flower in particular, has a preference on my part for what it represents, its meaning in different cultures, but mainly Asian, is what I like the most. That relationship it has with the spiritual and the way it is born, grows and blooms, is what I like the most. That is why it has my admiration.
Without further ado, I leave you with the poem for the contest.
One day in spring
In the heart of every winter
lives a throbbing spring that,
between cold days and nights,
emerges to change all melancholy,
leaving aside the loneliness,
that in the hard ice,
melts until it disappears.
At that moment,
new emotions begin to bloom,
where everything begins to glow,
and with immense warmth,
it embraces everything it comes to caress.
It is then that I begin to walk,
to detail and appreciate,
what, in you,
my little springtime,
I can observe...
It is so, that in that precious lagoon, I saw it,
with an incomparable beauty,
and a pink color that marked its peculiarity;
with its roots in the mud at the bottom
and floating on the surface,
I admired it until I understood,
that if the water and the muddy bottom,
represented carnal desires,
the flower, symbolized the purity
that the soul can reach,
and the roots, the connection that exists
between both parts.
There was no doubt in my mind that,
from a negative situation,
you can start something new,
with a latent hope.
Following the route,
I could perceive from afar,
an intense aroma,
and as I approached,
with that great size,
I noticed them;
there they were, with long stems
and incredible yellow petals,
and of a color as vivid as the brightness,
dazzling in the daylight,
everything I felt,
as if they were taking care of me,
their healing properties,
letting me perceive the gratitude,
the joy, love and happiness that,
this flower, reflects in your company.
Not far away you can distinguish,
the elegance and beauty,
worthy of a queen,
that radiated with its lilac tone,
the most beautiful,
flower of May;
admiring it produced a sense of peace,
and to contemplate it minutely,
it was like learning from her wisdom,
by noting its prudence,
and although it sometimes makes me nostalgic,
it is still a pleasure,
to be able to witness it in bloom.
Many more flowers, I continue to find,
but among them all,
there is only one
that has me completely captivated,
and that is you, my little Hilén,
for in you I can find all of them.
My daughter's name, Hilén, is a variant of Huilen, which comes from the Mapudungun language of the Mapuche and means spring.

No imagino cuán consentida debe estar Huilen. Felicidades. Presiento que tus flores te van a seguir obsequiando recompensas. Saludos.
Muchas Gracias! Y si, es una consentida 😅
