Sublime Sunday and a winter walk <brrrrr>
I was seduced by a sunbeam and the bright blue sky into taking a walk today.
I thought it was safe when I saw the snow melting on my roof, but I should have known better.
An indication would have been that this huge icicle on my neighbour's eavestrough isn't dripping.
Their dog wondered why I was photographing an icicle. His name is 'Blue.'
I put on my goose down coat, a hat and gloves, and ventured outside. In less than a minute, I decided on a short walk! It is -13 C (8.6 °F). When you have to take off your gloves to take photos, your hands get cold pretty fast.
Plenty of human activity here.
The sky on a bright winter day is this intense blue.
I really haven't gone far but I'm making my way back home.
There isn't much snow this year.
We have small plows especially for the sidewalks which are bare and ice free today. That makes walking so much easier.
The climbing hydrangea is waiting for April to come.
My own way to measure the snow depth. The patio table disappears when the snow is really deep.
Back inside, a treat, I discover a coffee in the microwave. Happy Sunday everyone!

Isn't it amazing how blue the sky is next to bright white snow, stay warm and enjoy that coffee.
