Sublime Sunday - The Beautiful Game

I was only young when England won the World Cup in 1966. I can remember Nobby Stiles doing a jig around Wembley with the Jules Rimet Trophy, without his false teeth in. The toothless wonder! I can remember Bobby Moore, our captain, wiping his dirty hands on the velvet of the royal box before he shook hands with the queen, who was wearing white gloves. I've been waiting for us to win something ever since! Tonight, England are in the final of the European Cup against Italy. I've got the t shirt and beer ready!

Gareth Southgate, the manager, has done a great job. No prima donnas this time. Flag is up!

Last minute prayers! Come on England! Is football coming home? I really hope so!
