Cinnamon Cup Coffee - Sat Inside at Last
It's so good to actually go and sit inside and have a nice cup of coffee. It just seems forever that I last did it. Even though it's been warm weather, I've sat inside because I can! I think they excelled themselves with the coffee art. It looked far too good to drink.
I can't wait for the day when I don't see any mention of track and trace or ...
.... tables having to be fully sanitised before you sit down.
Or cutlery in a brown envelope. What's that all about?? I've become a right 'Moaning Minnie'. 😀
My friend bought me a coffee making machine. I love it. No posters about track and trace and sanitise your hands! Yipee!

Hahaha, I know what you mean - so many rules now and I don't know if it will ever go back to the way it was @ellenripley. We have a coffee espresso machine too and find it very hard to buy as good a coffee when out. I feel I have become such a coffee snob.
I must admit, it's hard to go back to instant coffee when you've tasted the good stuff!

It's indeed a great feeling to be able to dine inside again, and the same for us - although it's a lot warmer (have been basking in the sunshine :) we found ourselves drinking coffee even late in the evenings. It's good for everyone's spirit that there's more freedom!

I forgot to ask you, did you have to pay with card, or cash transactions are ok now? I feel you when you say that you cannot wait for the day when there is no track and trace. The last pub we visited, we did not have reservations, but we were still allowed to enter, were seated and given the menu to order online and pay via card and they would serve us after that payment went through. It was all so strange.
Hi yes you can pay cash but they want you to do the NHS app swipe in Costa and other cafes. I don't have it on my phone. If I have a lot of apps, it eats into my photo storage data. Sometimes if you don't have the app they ask if you write your name and number down. I'm so over it lol.

I went to eat in at the Pizza Hut and was asked to order on their app. My friend couldn't get it to work. We asked the waitress if she could take our order. She was stood next to us so why she couldn't have done it straight away, I don't know. I know they're trying to minimise contact but she had shown us to our seat, told us to use the app and then bought our food out. It just gets bizarre. You have to laugh!
Bizarre indeed! We anticipate there might be another lockdown, and as much as no one like conspiracy theories, it makes you wonder 😂
It's great to see the positive effect it has on people as they're able to roam about freely and socialise and be close to family and loved ones. Fingers crossed it will come to past!
