Being in total control, feeling like a boss.

Inanimate objects seem like they wanna control us humans, draining out our energy when it's supposed to be the contrary.

Why should things I own, bought with my money stress me??

I buy products to use them and save myself of stress but then these products don't even get to the warranty date when it just malfunctions.

The annoying part of it is! It just shuts down totally on you when you need it most, creating an avenue for anger which in my case I end up unleashing on people around me.

I got this pounding machine which I suppose should reduce the stress of me having to do it myself. The process of making pounded yam is very stressful and that's one of the meals loved so much by my dad.

It really doesn't go well with me when dad requests for pounded yam due to the stress it carries.

I decided to get a machine that would aid in preparing that for him.

I was super excited about getting this machine from my online shop. I tried it out the first time and it gave me a good result of exactly what I needed.

One day, my dad got back from work and asked me to make him pounded yam which I gladly accepted to prepare for him with the consciousness that I got an aid. On a normal day without the aid, I would grumble, drag my feet to the kitchen before doing anything.

I got to the kitchen and turned on the machine and poured the flour into the machine waiting for it to do its job but guess what ? This machine didn't work.

I wanted to stay calm but then it really got outta hands. I felt like beating it up. I wished it was something that could hear me so I could unleash the anger that was boiling inside of me at that moment.

I started speaking to it cause I didn't have any other option. Even if I beat it, it wouldn't cry, nor would it feel the pain.

What else would I do??

I felt ravaged by this little thing that I actually bought with my money.

Time kept ticking and that was what got me more upset.

The product was purchased from an online shop, how do I take it back? Why do things made by men behave like this? Why did it have to happen at this point in time? These were the questions that went through my mind.

I was upset not for anything but the fact that what I got to aid me became a liability.

After pacing to and fro looking for alternatives, I went back to it and spoke to it like it could hear me

"Listen here you, I bought you with my money, you didn't just appear here and so definitely aren't gonna piss me at this moment, but you are so gonna do the job of which I got you for, I own you so you know, you know what that means right? In case you don't, it totally means I have full control of you, so I command you right now to work because I really don't wanna stress myself when I know very well that I got you, you hear me?" I said all this shouting out loud not minding if I was disturbing the neighborhood or not.

My sister came into the kitchen and saw me talking to a machine like that. God!! She thought I was going mad.

I just ignored her gesture and went back to my business lest I transfer my aggression on her.

I put the machine back on and to my uttermost surprise, it came back to life (not life literally, you get what I mean)

Wow! It really heard me. I said to myself, I felt like a boss. I really own it, you know! I bought it so it shouldn't oppress me rather I should be in total control of it.

Objects shouldn't rule humans but we should rule over them instead. After all God created us and asked us to take control of everything I mean everything!! Isn't that cool.

We humans have super powers here, so Inanimate objects shouldn't make our lives miserable when these things are even made by humans in quotes.
