A little taste of jail; A story I will always remember

Have you ever been thrown into jail?
This was a question someone once asked me and my answer had always been no! But the answer changed yesterday when the unexpected happened.

I was out on Sunday evening to spend the cool and amazing night with my boyfriend.
We decided to spend the night far away from home. I mean parents, so as to have a little privacy lol. So we decided to Lodge in a hotel.
I actually came up with the idea of lodging in a hotel! A sweetheart as he ( my boyfriend ) is, couldn't say no to me cause he always wanna make me happy.
We were having as much fun as possible till about 11:15 PM.

We heard a loud bang on our room door just at the verge of sleeping.
My boyfriend rushed up and opened the door when immediately two police men walked into the room and arrested us without cause.

I needed explanations, you know! Cause I know my rights as a citizen but guess what in my country rights of people are being infringed.
The police here detain people without cause just so they get money.
Truth be told, I'm ashamed of a country like this.
In one of my posts @ corrupt country and its shitty representatives.
I talked about how the corp takes bribes and is annoyingly lazy.
Now just after that I fell prey to these beasts that call themselves the police.
I and my boyfriend were detained just for lodging in a hotel what the fuck?
We were thrown into jail at about 12:00 AM.
Honestly! Jail sucks, it smells like a dead body.
I couldn't feel my nose, I was breathing in shit.
Worse of it all I found an innocent young child of just 15 years put in jail with all the adults in there.
I reached out to the boy and asked him his crime just to find out that he was just sitting outside with his uncle receiving fresh air the same night I was detained and the police drove by and took them captives as well.
I sobbed , I felt his pain. He is still a high school student. He had to write exams but was denied that privilege all because of a crime he didn't commit.
I met a different caliber of people, you know!
A girl my age was there too all because of her boyfriend. Lol
She had the same story as me.
I mean almost all the people in that cell that were detained actually committed no offense.
My boyfriend's sister actually came to our rescue.
She was our superwoman.
I couldn't wait to get out of that smelly place because it's hell. My tummy could grow big overnight from inhaling the stench it carries.
We were bailed and I'm glad we got out so soon.
I felt for my boyfriend you know cause he was clothless. The police had taken his clothes off him and threatened to beat us.
The night was a cold and long one which I won't forget in a hurry.
The police brutality and state of detaining citizens who have done no wrong in my country is getting out of hand.
Even a kid is being detained as well which is very unacceptable.
They actually got the random they needed and let us go.
The funny thing about all this is if they are called to rescue a soul who is in the hands of a wicked crime masters, they never show up but just let such crimes die down without doing anything about it.
People lose their lives everyday in this country even when the police were to protect lives and properties, they do the opposite.
