ct on our other relationships, particularly with our spouses because they are the ones we interact with the most on a daily basis.

It won't be wrong to say that mom and dad get another reason to fight after they have kids and mostly, for years, it is the only reason why mom and dad fight. It's the kids. Different people have different opinions and outlooks on how they want to raise their kids. Some are soft while others are harsh. Some are too possessive while others are relaxed. How you treat your child is completely your choice and it's all acceptable. You have given them birth and you will never think bad of them. Ut's you who know them the best.

This is ok when we talk about the grandparents, uncle, and aunts. But when we talk about mom and dad who are managing the baby day in and out, it comes out as a point of concern. Both have different styles and an equal right on the child. This ends up in fights. We fell into the same trap initially but soon realized this won't work. So this is what we do.

  1. Respect each other's way of managing the child. If you have left the child to one of the parents, let them manage the child how they like and want. Don't interfere or point fingers.
  2. Never panic when it comes to child-related stuff. Panic leads to fights.
  3. Don't go finicky about following rules or routines. Having a baby is a big change and routines and rules are gonna break for some time at least.
  4. Ask for help from grandparents whenever required. You cannot do this job all by yourself. Take their help to get some time to release your frustration.
  5. Never think of that time in the past when it was only you two and life was easy. This is what it is now and you gotta change. And this is for good.

So for all the new parents, don't panic. This is a beautiful new phase of life, just relish every moment, even these small little fights. It's only gonna make you stronger!
